My boys and myself ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!!! A CLEAN BEACH WITH THE BEACH SAND AND A PICNIC AREA A HUGE WOODEN CASTLE PLAY AREA FOR THE KIDS FROM INFANT TO TEEN AGE, A SPLASH PARK AGAIN AGE RESTRICTION AREAS FOE SAFE FUN, A WETLANDS WALK WAY, A WOODED NATURE HIKING AREA, A PLANT AND FLOWER SHADED WALKING AREA FROM THE FRONT OF THE PARK LEADING TO THE BEACH SAFELY AWAY FROM DRIVING AREA. PLENTY OF PARKING ALL AROUND THE PARK!!!... "Let's see what else,šŸ¤”šŸ˜‹šŸ˜ŽšŸ˜I know I'm probably going to forget some of the best ammentities that this whole entire area has to offer for the family in one place . This park in Pell City doesn't amount nor compare to oxford, Talladega, Lincoln, Alpine, sylacauga even! Long story trying to make short Pell City lakeside park has got everyone beat by an extreme long shot!" There's basketball courts, tennis courts, docks, fishing, kayaking , canoeing, share, sun, water multiple playset parks, multiple picnic areas multiple parking lots, grills, boat launch (not just the docks) piers, baseball field, convention center, gates for lockup security, security is always driving around on golf carts, there is always a cleanup crew there, there are always employees to be found for the splash parks and security, they have vending machines, bathrooms, snack stand at the splash park, cameras, solar powered lights, I MEAN OOHHHHHH MYY GOD THIS PLACE IS PERFECT! WHY, WHYYYYYYYY CANT EVERY TOWN AND CITY TAKE CSRE OF THEIR RESIDENTS LIKE PELL CITY HAS? WHYYYYYYYY?!?! I ALSO WANT TO AD THE WORST ONE TO GO TO IS LINCOLN!!! A HANDICAP SWING FOR AN OLDER CHILD THATS TOO HIGH FOR THE MOTHERS TO GET THEIR CHILD INTO AMD ABSOLUTELY NO SHADE NO WATER FOUNTAIN LINCOLN THANKS FOR TRYING BUT YOU SUCKED TREMENDOUSLY YOU SHOW WITH THAT SO CALLED PARK YOU CREATED THAT YOU LITERALLY SPENT THE ABSOLUTE LEAST YOU HAD WHILE MANAGING TO STILL SLYLY MAKE IT TO WHERE U STILL ADDEE THE HANDICAP ONE SWING AND RAMP TO MAKE IT TO WHERE U HAD THAT EXCUSE IF U HAD TO USE IT BUT THE PARKING IS WAY TOO DAMN FAR FROM THE PARK AMD THE NO SHADE AND NO WATER.IS RIDICULOUS. This is one of the ONLY parks I have visited that has a restroom that is always clean and well stocked. The playground is beautiful and is built for children of all ages as well as for mom's with small babies to swing and play. The big playground also has swings for children with disabilities. The playground is always clean and safety is first with padding and mulch to prevent serious accidents from falls. There are so many activities to choose from or availability to stay all day and do them all! You can choose the splash pad, swimming or fishing in the lake, riding or walking the trails, the playgrounds, picnicking or finding a shady spot and simply sitting and grounding yourself with a good book and snacks. In today's economy, Lakeside provides hours of fun activities completely free and people who visit are nice enough to keep areas clean and trash free. I hope it...

I've been going here all my life. It's very scenic, and has nice trails. It has a boat dock, and many piers/docks to walk on. It's a very peaceful park, and nonviolent. There is no graffiti to date. It's a family oriented park, and it has a very nice splash pad and children's "play place." There are ample picnic tables to eat at, and plenty of trash cans. Ive never seen the trash cans be overfilled either. I do feel as though the bathrooms need a little work. There are no mirrors, and the lights often do not work. That is a safety hazard. I'm not sure if the lights are solar powered, but if they are I can understand the occasional outages. There are no water fountains. Well, there's one that's broken. It has never worked. There are a couple of bike trails through the woods, and a 5 mile walking or...

I visited the Native Plant Walking Trail and Memorial Gardens. The gardens were exceptional. The quote "an early morning walk is a blessing for the whole day" sums everything up too well. All kinds of trees, bushes, flowers, and herbs. Birds, bugs, and rodents of all kinds. I even heard a woodpecker! As a novice nature explorer, I got to learn the names of plants I see often. There are over a hundred of plants that are native to this region along with swamp plants and trees. This is now one of my favorite public gardens. Most gardens this curated have cost. Definitely worth a luxurious morning stroll. An extended walk throughout the park will take you to a swamp area, a pier, the shores of a lake, several large pavilions, playgrounds, a splash pad, hiking trails, and boat launch. A must see!!

Love this park because it’s well maintained: There’s always grounds keepers there keeping it beautiful and accessible, the many trash cans are very regularly emptied, the paved path is clear of debris, there isn’t dog poop everywhere, and there isn’t litter. I love that the walking path is varied in slope and it’s a full mile long. I love that it’s dog friendly. I walk my dog here most days of the week and have never had an aggressive dog incident. Leash rule is respected! The water is beautiful and the tree coverage provides much appreciate shade.

This was my first visit to the SplashPad even though I had been to the playground and waterfront before. I was able to take my special needs son in his wheelchair through it to enjoy playing with his siblings and cousins. There was enough space for the parents to enjoy some shade under the pavilions, and a nice grassy area if you prefer to sit in the sun. Fenced in, staff was nice, offers a small concession stand for treats and the ice cream truck came through a few times as well.
