I have lived in TC my whole life and have always loved exploring all of the wineries. This past weekend, I brought a group of 4 other friends up to visit me. I wanted to show them the area and have a fun time wine tasting. Our first stop was here at two lads, and right when we walked in we were greeted with an unpleasant hostess. She had a very strong attitude, but ultimately we put our name down on the waiting list and grabbed a glass of wine at the bar while we waited. The bartender was very sweet and made good conversation. We were then sat at a shared table (we were all completely okay with this, we all enjoy a good conversation with friendly strangers). We were sat first, and then a very adorable older couple was sat about 10 minutes later. Our server first greeted the couple next to us and gave them an extensive rundown of the menu (about 10-15 mins long). After she was done taking their order, in passing she asked our side of the table “do you guys need anything?” We all sat in shock for a moment as we’d been waiting for 20 minutes to order. We all said yes and she took our orders. I myself am a lover of wine, so I tried to ask her more about their varieties. But she would give me bland, short answers, not explaining anything. Overall I was very disappointed with the service, I love going to wineries on the old mission peninsula, but I don’t think I would ever return here.

(I do have to add we are all 23-25 years old, so we may not look the oldest, but all of us have worked in the service industry and will never tip under 20%. I myself have thought the same, that the younger always tip less, however, now I realized that those under 30 usually tip the greatest so I will always treat the younger crowd...

This is my first Google Review and I felt compelled to share this experience. This is a beautiful place and the red wines I tasted were delight full. However, I will never visit them again. I won't beat around the bush I am a 65 year old Black man. When I arrived at the winery there was no outside seating available so I decided to sit inside with my family. I waited to be seated and I saw a server a young man whose name began with a "D". I called him over and asked him to be seated he ignored me and sat the people waiting in line behind me. He eventually sat me and my family a blended family compromising of Black White and Asian people. He then took everyone's order but mine. I was angry and expressed it to him. ( I regret this I should have just left). He then returned to serve our flights of wine and you guess it he served me last. At that point I was trapped and I just drank the wine paid and left. So the purpose of this review is to let everyone know that in 2024 in America a 65 year old Black man can still be treated as an unwelcome intruder who has to demand to be seated and served.. Sad and shame on 2 Lads Winery! I gave them one star because I could not give...

If I could give this place a 0 star rating then I would, the atmosphere was very douchey, it was the only winery we actually had to wait at (for a group of only 5 people), the wines were nothing special, I could have purchased better quality wine at the Walmart down the street from my house. The price of the tasting was higher than any other winery we went to and oh if u want to keep the glass it'll be another $5. If 2 lads wants to stay in business, then I suggest they charge around the same price as other wineries for tastings and also retrain your staff. Our waiter was a complete douche, he thought he was soooo cool and rambled off a bunch of BS about the wine in a condescending way and actually made rude jokes about the chocolate to my friend and I, he treated us like we were stupid. So if any of you get a waiter that looks like an overweight Ed Sheeran then stay away, you won't be happy with your service. I'll never return...

Had a lovely visit amongst many wineries this fall season! We enjoyed the wine, but wish there was a better way to order and bring drink outside - we were in a line at the front bar that seemed to grow very fast but was slow to move through in order to order. I think offering menus while we waited in line would have helped move through the line much faster. The menu was not giant which was nice, but more limited options for picky people. Next we went outside and the views were stunning - water, open yard, and chairs on a hill to take in all the colors. I wish there were more outdoor chairs - at peak season, 15ish chairs outside were not enough and a lot of people standing around with food and drink in their hand waiting. We did play Cornhole which was very fun. Wishing there was more space and more menus to review before ordering!

This place embodies what it means to grow wine locally on Mission Peninsula. We booked a private wine tour/tasting and were able to get a deep dive into their wine-making process: everything is locally sourced from their 23 acres and produced by hand - grown, picked, pressed, aged, and bottled. The quality and price they are able to offer is truly impressive for the amount of time and energy used in production. Leah & Emily have done a great job establishing a laid back atmosphere to enjoy the magnificent view and have an easy conversation while tasting some great wine. INSIDER TIP: If you want to take advantage of an awesome value, joining the wine club gets you and friends free tastings, a private tour, and 15-25% off the wines + shipping direct to your door. A must-visit for the Mission Peninsula wine tour.
