The Raystown Lake Visitor Center is free to enter but does have visiting hours depending on the season. It has a small gift shop, restrooms, air conditioning, water fountains and a station to refill water bottles, a free wildlife information exhibit which provides taxidermy animals to look at (deer, bear, fish, birds, reptiles and more), wildlife information, animals skins and furs to to touch and observe, information and videos about Raystown Dam. It also has a large deck on the backside of the visitor center with a scenic view of the lake and mountains. It is handicapped accessible and has an elevator to get to the lower walkway outside, which leads to a nice little garden area where you will see signs to to different nature trails. The folks working there are very friendly and helpful. We visited on July 4th and were very glad to see that it was open as a lot of other park offices were closed for the holiday.
