West Overlook Campground — Attraction in Penn Township

We were there during the week, so it was very enjoyable. I'm sure it might be a different thing over the weekend. Bathrooms were clean, but there was no electricity for blow-dryer. Also a rather odd setup with the showers. There are two showers, but they are behind a door that you can lock and have both of them to yourself. No one came in while I was there, but my husband said he had a guy waiting on him. I can't imagine how that would work on the weekends. I liked the trees and the shade that went with them. Our site was rocky, but level. We did apparently have previous campers with a dog and there was some poop and a bone left behind. That's not the campground's fault though. Overall...

Beautiful campground next to a man made lake. Lots of trees which are both good and bad as there were some sites you're not going to be able to maneuver into. I had booked a site listed as being 50' long but there was no way it was that length. Luckily, there was another site that available we were assigned. I've had this issue before with recreation.gov - the specifics of the site (length) aren't correct. Glad we had an alternative. This campground was super nice. It was very clean and well kept. The bathrooms were very clean and there were several ways to get to water. The campsites were spacious and well kept. The fire rings were nice and clean. The picnic tables were clean. The campground was quiet even with there being several campers. There was lots of entertainment for the kids.
