A small but very pleasant military cemetery. There is a Confederate monument to the many POWs that died in the nearby prison camp. A small section with a few Nazi POWs that seemed to mostly die at the end of the war, and plenty of service members from inception to present. Saw a couple markers with a couple servicemen that served in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. Which is a rather remarkable feat. Come, respect, and reflect.

This is an interesting and historical site. The Union and Confederate monuments were impressive. There are also interesting gravesites of German WW2 and American soldiers from various periods. The interpretive signs were detailed and interesting, as well.

This place is beautiful. My father is buried here and I couldn't be happier. The grounds are immaculate. Its quiet and very serene. My family and I visited on Oct. 3 2020 my father's 64th bday. An awesome resting place.

Beautiful place. My brother was just recently buried here so I go and visit him and say hello to everyone around him. You can feel the energy in this place for sure. There is nothing like the peace it brings to you after I visit him. The people are very friendly in the surrounding area. It's a very clean and just a wonderful place, my new favorite spot.

If you are interested in the haunted side of things I do think this is a place where the spirits can communicate with you. With that being said please have respect for the passed on ones here. The day he was buried it was raining. I walked towards the water and heard him clear as day call out my name in his voice. I turned around because it was like he was in the distance calling me. Shocked I was for sure but it was amazing! We drove down in my car on the day one last time and it was him saying goodbye and thank you. Also, noticed if you go down the long stretch path to the cemetery, it's like a southern charm, and you take out your phone and record your car's dashboard lights, my mileage will flicker and if you look at it in reality it will not. I kept seeing my lights flicker when I record driving down that path because it's so beautiful to me and I happen to notice this strange thing...

Intimate civil war confederate prisoner cemetery, German, WWII POWs that died at Fort Dix and a crime spree murder in 1997. The one lane road leading to it is completely unassuming, but the HISTORY is well worth a quiet stroll to reflect and wonder why this place isn't...
