Dog owners, please read — especially those who visit Bayview Dog Beach! On July 25th around 2:30 PM, I was at the dog beach when a woman entered with a fully unvaccinated puppy that had been found just three days prior and had not yet been seen by a vet.
Unfortunately, I only found this out after my dogs had already interacted with the puppy. My dogs are fully vaccinated, but I would have absolutely made a different choice if I’d had the information sooner.
I calmly explained the risks to the woman, especially with other dogs around—seniors, puppies, and immunocompromised dogs—but she didn’t seem concerned. I also warned other owners at the time and left several notes near the path to help spread the word.
If your dog is not fully vaccinated or is immune-compromised, I recommend avoiding Bayview Dog Beach for at least the next 10–14 days, just to be cautious in case any viruses were shed into the environment.
Dog parks are shared spaces, and bringing in an unvaccinated dog—no matter how sweet or new to the situation—puts others at unnecessary risk. Please help spread the word and keep our pet...
Read moreI’ve been bringing my pup here for the last 8 months and she loves it. There’s the beach side and then just further up the parking lot there’s a dry side with a large and small dog park. I’m appreciate the beach is completely enclosed so my dog can run around freely. She loves the water and it’s a relatively clean spot. The dry side is a local favorite, with many regulars who bring their pups. Everyone is very friendly and the dogs get along for the most part. There are usually bags stocked for bathroom breaks as well. There are fully functioning restrooms at the park, and often times there will be events/food trucks/etc for the human counterparts. Read moreBEST PLACE ON EARTH!!!! at least as far as dog beaches go in Pensacola lol we took our fur babies for the sunrise and some new beach smells. there's signs saying leashes are mandatory but most ppl let their babies stretch their legs, as they should honestly, as long as they know how to behave. we've been a couple times now and will be returning. It is quite small though, the perimeter. roughly 50 yards or so but if u get there early u stand a good chance of having it all to urselfs!! See Ya There!!!
