This Sunday morning should be a lovely day but it’s not. I sent my son, a 13 years old Boyscout in uniform to the Lake Perris campground, his troop has already been here and waiting for him. When we arrived the entrance, we were told that not allowed to pickup and drop off unless pay $20 parking money by the ranger lady. We respect her rules, we said we can park in the park lot and go to the campsite by walk with my son’s big bag of camp gears. Then the lady continues warned us clearly and loudly “you only can park here 15 minutes, if over time I will toll your vehicle”. I don’t know how other people feel when you get this cold warning but I did feel we were unwelcome stray homeless without paying fees. I don’t know does she warn every guest parking here or just because our Asian seems cheap and try to take advantage of the Lakes Perris park, so we got this warning and long time peering. Rules is rules, we have no right to argue with that. My son and me walked into the campsite by carrying his big bag. I made a very short greeting to scouts master then RUN back quickly to my car. I don’t like to see my car be tolled. That is my experience in Lake Perris this morning. I have already visited hundreds of national parks, state parks, county parks or Disney parks or Lego parks or universal studios parks, this is my first time I can’t hold up my feeling. May be this park is suffering bad financial situation, every dollar parking fee is useful to the park. but I don’t think other guests deserve this kind of treatment. Thank you for...

We went a week ago to camp & ride our jet skis we had not been to the lake since like pre covid. Sadly we were disappointed with the lack of safety enforcement out in the waters. We were not able to ride comfortably as there were so many crazy people driving boats and jet-skis recklessly not at all respecting the 5mph zones. It sad to see that such a family friendly beautiful place is not enjoyable for families. Online it says that its required to have a boater card to operate boats or jetskis but the state rangers and lifeguards performing inspections and patrolling a are not even checking no wonder the waters was a hot mess. To end the day there was some commotion with someone firing a gun shot or firework.. it was a such a vibe killer people freaking pole dancing and twerking on pontoons 🤦🏻‍♀️. I dont recommend going on or near any holiday.. hopefully I just had bad luck in that weekend. Maybe it not always like that

Overall the boat loading ramps there was no issue arrive early so you don’t wait in line and find room to park your trailer.

As for the campsite we stayed in the bobcat loop everything was pleasant but I truly do recommend you bring bug insecticide to spray around your site. As soon as nightfalls it’s a roach fest. Roaches came out from all over to feast on the crumbs I guess. LoL

It was memorable for sure but I may think twice about coming again anytime soon. So sad because the scenery...

Lake police fined us 72 dollar ticket at 7 pm while our cars little bit near to the beach to load stuff after spending the day. We were near to our cars handling the things and the officer stopped by and made parking tickets to two friends and I despite explaining that we moved the cars from the parking lot to load heavy stuff into the trunk. They really destroyed our day and all our families went home so frustrated from what police officer did. Two hours before the police ticket, there were 4 cars permanently parked at the same location for other people even much closer to the beach and the police warned them to move out to the parking lot without any tickets. Although we told the officer that he kept writing the ticket. We will never be back...

Sure! Here's a review for Lake Perris: Lake Perris is a great spot for a day out near LA. The scenery is beautiful, and there’s plenty of space for activities like picnicking, hiking, and water sports. The lake itself is calm and perfect for kayaking or swimming. It can get crowded on weekends, so it’s best to arrive early. Some areas could be a bit cleaner, but overall it’s a nice getaway with a relaxing atmosphere. The entrance fee is reasonable, and there’s plenty of parking. A great escape from the city!

We had a great time. We did not have to wait long time to enter the lines moved fast. They have life guards on sight security patrol at all times that is great. Only dissapointment was the toilets where dirty nasty unable to used it. It would be better if the actual restroom where open much cleaner and safe everybody pays for parking i think its enought for them to have someone clean it
