What a great park for kids. The park is split into two separate parks; one for the little ones and toddlers and the otherside for older kids. Both sides only have one entrance. You will appreciate that when you loose sight of your child. This can happen very easily when they go on any of the slides in the older kids side of the park. You can follow your little one to the top of the slides but once they go down it can take a good minute or so to get back around to meet them at the bottom. Or when they run underneath the equipment - was not made for adults to go underneath there. Another great feature is the floor/ground of the park. It is not of mulch, like most parks, but of rubber. As you walk on it there's a slight bounce underneath your step. This is a great safety feature if your child falls off any of the equipment. Outside of the park they have nonelectrical exercise equipment. Even the adults could use them. The park will get very crowded in nice weather. Best time to go is in the morning or very early afternoon. The park is always clean. They even have swings for the physically challenged. There are benches for the parents. There are picnic tables outside of the entrance of park. Parking lot is small and can get full very quickly. Overall, this is a...
Read moreIt is recently referbished. They have set it up so that the entire playground is in a gated area, and there is only one exit and the parents benches sit right next to it. This makes me feel so much more comfortable there as a parent. They also have a smaller kids section that is set up the same. The ground is rubber padding, so there's no yucky gravel. They have zip lines, both stand up and sit down/buckle in. The equipment there is unique too. They have odd swings with 4 ropes and a floating platform, and the closest thing that I've seen to a merry go round this decade. It's brightly colored, so even my infant likes to look around and play on some of the smaller activities. It's never too busy, and honestly a lot of people I've met don't even know that it is there. So it's never too hectic, which I appreciate compared to some of the other parks around, and everyone there is generally very kind and respectful. This is my number one go to spot for meeting up for play dates and such. It's immediate next to the library, so it makes a great day trip to get books, and stop by the park. Overall a great park! Read moreGreat place to take the kiddos of pretty much all ages respectfully of course - I like how they have the areas separated for the “big kids” and “little kids” or little angels as they refer to them - makes me feel comfortable letting my 3 year old Daughter kind of do her own thing as long as I have eyes on her - I feel I don’t need to hover in fear of the bigger kids hurting her … There is even some co stuff in the big kid area the little ones can do with supervision obviously … What I don’t like is the lazy parents who allow their kids to behave in a manner that is not conducive of a safe environment for everyone for example allowing them to climb ON TOP OF PAVILIONS etc… Have a little respect first and foremost secondly they could fall and not only injure themselves but another child … Otherwise I think you will have a great experience overall.
They even have swings that children with special needs or accommodations can use even in wheel chairs now that’s a game changer everyone should know how it feels to just get on a swing and have fun !
In conclusion 5 stars for me …...
