Islamic Center of Greater Toledo (ICGT) — Attraction in Perrysburg

PLEASE READ. We are traveling from Florida to Michigan and seen this beautiful mosque. It was maghrib time and we decided to stop by and pray our maghrib prayer here. When we got there masjid was fully locked . We walked around entire building to look for a water source to take wudu but no luck. I read some of the reviews and I found out that it was for security reasons as I guest. As my humble suggestion masjid can stay locked after prayer hours but at least there could be water source for late arrivals after hours so they can take wudu and there could be small carpeted area outside but covered from rain and such so other brothers and sisters can pray like us after hours. Today we ended up going to closest gas station to take wudu and prayed at the parking lot. We felt very sad to missed to pray in this beautiful masjid. Also when were there there was an other brother with his family who was traveling from Detroit he said they had same issues in multiple occasions. PLEASE MAKE NECESSARY ADJUSTMENTS TO ACCOMMODATE AFTER HOURS ARRIVING BROTHERS AND SISTERS TO PRAY IN THIS AMAZING FACILITY. WHY IS THIS MOSQUE ALWAYS CLOSED???

Edit: after learning that the locals faced an incredibly challenging situation about a decade ago, I understand the need for security and not being able to leave the mosque open. Essentially this masjid is ONLY open at times of prayer. However, it has been over 10 years since this incident (from my understanding), we as Muslims should not live in fear of the few bad apples in society. The same way they should not as well. A lot of time has passed since the events of September 11, 2001… I believe that public opinion is shifting and most Americans understand that Islam is a religion of peace and Muslims are important pillars in any society. Inshallah, may Allah protect our brothers and sisters and may the world know us to be a righteous people who are nothing but positive. One of the most amazing masjids I have seen in north america till date, located in Perrysburg OH. You can spot this mosque from the highway and it is amazing inside and out. The property is massive. Inside the property they have a soccer pitch, cricket field,basketball court, fire pit area for the kids, a shelter for family picnics like you see at parks, a kids playground and ample amounts of land.
