I needed time to collect my thoughts, so this could be accurate and fair. We stayed in the highest level storage unit for two nights. First night was on the way to another destination, and second night was on our return trip home.

If you’ve stayed there before, you “get” the “storage unit” comment. First night, we enter the reception area only to find an escapee from The School for Unprofessionals. For heaven’s sake, dress appropriately! As she took screenshots of my husband’s ID, she proceeded to read off the “rules.” I’ve seen Miranda rights given in a better manner.

Fast forward to our “luxurious” room and experience. As we pull into the garage, you notice that the iron and ironing board are there. Odd, right?

You enter the suite, and the chlorine hits you like a brick wall. Hello instant headache! The desk clerk rattled off something about not leaving the dry sauna open or on because alarms would sound and they’d be forced to come over. Did I mention that the chlorine smell was a whopper?

Next, climb the stairs to the bed & bath level. The “luxurious” bed/bath. A few uber cheap light fixtures don’t make this luxurious. I suspect they picked these up at a NoTell Motel going out of business sale. The bathroom was large, but nothing special. One shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion for two adults isn’t enough. On the return trip, I asked about bubble bath for the tub, and was pointed to s tray on the counter of the front desk that held about less than half an ounce of “aromatherapy” liquid. It’s yours for $2. Really?

Back to arrival. The bed had rose petals on it, and turns out they were polyester, and used multiple times. I began picking them up one by one to keep them neat. Should have just tossed them on the floor. There were two trays of chocolate covered strawberries on the glass table, but no water. You’d think they could have a couple of complimentary bottles of water, especially when paying their rates and the $60 for the strawberries. They did have a small fridge under the counter in the bathroom and the waters, sodas had a charge. Good thing I always have a case of water in the trunk.

Can you say, “Nickel and diming?”

The room was far too dark, and the two chairs at the glass table were unsteady. The fireplace is less than “roaring” and turns itself off if it gets too hot, and then beeps. Beep... beep... beep.... BEEP!

TV turns on pretuned to The Playboy channel. Ummmm..... no thank you. The bed was comfortable, but it’s so high that I had to jump onto it. They really need a small step stool. They could easily find a plastic one at a toy store. Put a sticker on it, and Voila! “Luxury.”

Ready for the creepy factor? No windows. Our return trip was on a Sunday night, so bright and early on Monday morning you have bulldozers, big trucks, and other heavy equipment outside. They sounded just inches away from your walls. Did I mention this “luxurious” getaway is smack in the middle of an industrial park? No, I’m NOT kidding!

Most hotels have a 3pm check-in and noon check-out. If you’d like that, it’s $25 extra for each. Their check-in is 4pm, which wasn’t a factor for us, and check-out at 11am. We paid the $25 for 1pm.

Finally....Breakfast! A small basket of 2 mushy and soggy MICROWAVED small Danish rolls and two muffins. 2 small bottles of Tropicana orange juice, and a carafe of coffee. Coffee was cold.

I don’t know WHO gave this place all the positive reviews, but they could have done better at the new Comfort Inn just around the corner outside of the Industrial Park. There’s a GREAT Speedway Gas station with a small convenience store that has plenty of snacks, fun food, and a surprisingly nice selection of beers and wines.

This place could have at least had a small desk, chair and lighting for those who need to put on a touch of makeup or take out contact lenses.

Did I mention it was creepy? I told my husband that it felt like “West World” .... as if being watched, and the NO WINDOWS! Save your $$$, because this was a HUGE disappointment.

I have several photos I’d...

This three night stay was our first vacation - getaway together in awhile. We've never had the opportunity to stay at a hotel with a private pool in the room, so we thought this would be a really unique and fun experience.

That was an understatement...

At first we laughed but cautiously proceeded forward through the truck stops that surrounded us.

We eventually came upon the Belamere Suites home office. It looked so beautiful and cozy amongst everything else surrounding it.

We went in and were greeted by the beautiful host, Sarah. She smiled and asked us how we were doing. She immediately put our minds at ease. Her professional and gentle demeanor upon answering our questions and introducing us to Belamere Suites, instantly melted away the stress from our busy lives and trip leading up to that moment.

She provided us with a map of the entire Suites, explaining clearly and easily how to get to our own personal suite, only a one minute drive from the office.

She gently placed a cold ice- container, topped with Hershey kisses into our hands.

With our ice, Hersheys, and map, we were ready!

We quickly found our Suite on the map that Sarah drew as a heart, marking our special place.

It was so nice to pull into our own single car garage. They provided us with a key and a garage door opener. It was very private and secure.

Upon entering the Suite we first came upon our pool room. The lights were down and the pool sat there beautifully. Clear and blue as dim pool lights sparkled through it. The room was instantly relaxing and had us ready to go for a swim!

We had plenty of time for that though so we proceeded up the stairs and into the main room.

Everything was absolutely perfect. From the jet tub for two, to the large standing shower, to the bedroom itself.

It was absolutely clean! I am obsessed with cleanliness in my own home and hold any place we stay to a high standard. Not everyone meets my standard but they did! Not one speck of dust, no crumb, nothing! It was absolutely the cleanest place I think I have ever stayed.

The fireplace was such an elegant touch and the room itself, just a dream.

The bed and pillows here are literally like sleeping on clouds! We both slept so well and woke up feeling great each day!

The pool, jet tub, and shower all just instantly relaxed us in different ways. Each one unique but important. We personally could not spend enough time in the pool!

The breakfast everyday was something we both looked forward to. Two cinnamon squares and two blueberry muffins, warm and moist. It was so delicious! Gently wrapped in a warm napkin, alongside their coffee which was always hot and very good!

We were greeted with our first breakfast by Mikey! He was so kind and hilarious! Along the way he also provided us with recommendations of places to eat and things to do. He was such a joyful person and made the trip extra special!

We ordered the pizza one night which was very good and the chocolate chip cookies with cold milk at 1 a.m. another night! They were absolutely amazing!

You called the front desk when needed, any time of day, for anything. Everyone was professional but Sarah, Mikey and Makayla stood out as exceptional! We were thankful to have met them!

We also did the romantic card games around the property as well as the hunting sign game! It was very fun to do and allowed us time to reflect and to appreciate each other.

This was without a doubt one of the most romantic and cozy places we have ever been. Customer service is top notch!! We were sad to leave and although it's good to be home we looked at each other, frowning for one second as soon as we pulled in our driveway. Both knowing we wished we were still there. That is when we knew Belamere Suites was magical.

To be able to create something so special that your guests have drawn not only closer to each other but were able to feel a spark of joy that lingers and causes them to want to spread that joy to others and wanting others to experience the same spark is truly magical.

Well done Belamere...

Short version: Great resort for a weekend getaway! Would recommend to any couples that are looking to spend some quality time together and forget about the outside world. Each room is fresh and clean and the staff is super friendly. The place is a bit hard to find as it is hidden away but overall great experience and can't wait to go back!

Long version: A couple of days ago we stayed at the Belamere Suites for the first time, besides coming across a couple of minor issues the experience was great! We began by checking in, the front desk was easy to find and the woman behind the desk was helpful and extremely friendly. After getting our keys and knowing we're to go we head off to our Ultimate Jacuzzi Suite.

The suites are Cosi and warm. There is a separate garage to park your car into for each suite so it makes it feel a little more welcoming. Once parked in our garage, we unlocked the room and stepped in. It was short of amazing, the middle chandelier and the mood lighting was phenomenal. It was like stepping into a proper resort. There was a 3 sided fireplace built into the wall which we immediately switched on with one of the labeled switches & it wasn't just the fireplace, everything was properly labeled and easy to use. The bed was also fantastic, very soft sheets and very clean. The Jacuzzi was wonderful and very clean as was the walk in shower. We had a wonderful night overall, just relaxing and drinking wine while sitting in our jacuzzi.

Now for the bad. There was not much that was "Bad" but there were some minor issues. One was the awful hissing sound our in room air heater/cooler was making & unfortunately there are no windows to open after having a fireplace on taking a bit shower and spending some time in the jacuzzi to cool off. The pillows were also not stellar; they were way too soft and I ended up waking up with the worst pain in my neck because of them, but it is a hotel and I haven't had a great experience with hotel pillows, it would still have been nice to see some decent pillows. Lastly, the room service experience we had was questionable. We called and ordered the complimentary breakfast at around 10:00AM as we wanted to have a bite to eat before checking out at our required time which was 11:00AM. They told us it would take about 15 minutes. Unfortunately, about an hour later when it was our checkout time the breakfast never came. We called them back to see if we could cancel the order. They apologized and gave use the breakfast to go, which I give them props for acknowledging their mistake and trying to resolve it. I will definitely have to try the room service again as I think this issue was a honest mistake.

Overall great experience and would recommend any couple for a...
