Like many others I learned to ski here as a kid 30 plus years ago. We intend to head back there for skiing this season, but since it's summer we were looking for someplace close to where we were staying to take the kids. That place is Bromley!
My kids love the outdoors. So when we heard last year that Bromley had an outdoor adventure park we decided to go. A lot to do for all ages. As soon as we arrived my kids went down the water slide at least 10 times.
My son climbed the rock wall and did all 4 climbs, stages 1-4 and got a sticker - he was so excited. He is only 6, so for him it was a big deal (it was for us as well!).
I just went down the Alpine slide with my daughter. It was super fast and super fun. It takes about 10 minutes to go to the top and ride the Slide but it's worth it.
We ate at Bromley and had cheeseburgers, fries, and onion rings. The food was ok, but the place was extremely clean. The staff was nice and the food was not too expensive.
Overall I gave it 5 stars. Worth the trip. Clean, very nice and helpful staff, great rides, things to do for kids, and not too expensive. I think my wife booked online the day before and got some type of great deal.
Spend the day, so worth it. Highly recommended. Would...
Read moreNice old school Vermont ski area. We hit this in Spring, and subsequently got rained out the first day. The conditions the next day were surprisingly good. Overall, the mountain has a little bit of something for everyone. The Greens were green, the Blues were blue, and the Blacks were definitely black.
As we were there for a family weekend, I'l focus my review on that. To be honest, this mountain got a bit boring for my kids, who were pretty much limited to one main trail with some options off it. The left lift (the only one that accesses novice trails) puts you on the summit. From there, you have three choices - head right for expert terrain, head straight down the middle (which requires a really steep start) or go left onto the main Green trail. My son (14) loved the blues, but my girls (9,12) were limited to the green mainline. If I was here without them, or felt comfortable leaving them to their own devices, I'm sure I could have kept happily busy all day on the black side.
The lodge was perfectly serviceable, though certainly dated...errr...retro. The staff was outrageously nice. Prices were good for VT, but not necessarily a...
Read moreOur first visit here and certainly not our last. An ideal ski area for families and beginners. Both our daughters had ski lessons and loved it and after just one day they were already being taken up the chairlifts.
There’s plenty of parking and a truck is constantly ferrying people back and forth from the resort to the car park.
There’s lots of indoor seating for lunch although unfortunately not very much outside. The hot food offer inside is somewhat limited to carb loving skiers but tasty nonetheless. There’s also a food truck outside (see photos). They ask that you don’t take your own food inside.
Best to buy your pass in advance and then just collect on arrival by scanning your QR code. A person then scans it before going up in a lift.
There’s lockers you can personal possessions in whilst you ski, or free shelves as well.
Enjoyed the skiing, although many of the more difficult runs are closed due to a lack of snow.
