Every year this place gets a little better! Wristbands for the kids were 10 bucks each at time of writing. Some of the animals in the petting zoo area don't seem very happy. Pumpkins are reasonably priced and there are many photo opportunities available. KIDS LOVE THIS PLACE. There are a lot of missed opportunities though.
Suggestions: They could put up more attractive scenery along the train route. On that note, they could make a Santa's village area up in the Christmas trees with cookies and hot chocolate and maybe even staff in elf suits, also they could hire a Santa to take pics with kids there. They could make the train ride free and keep in running to encourage business to flow up there. The whole place could use a face-lift. A little paint and some decor go a long way. If there's any way that y'all can improve on the cheap, it's this. Kids love characters walking around. If you can hire a few drama kids to dress up in costumes and take pictures with kids it would be awesome. Some ideas would be witches, vampires, Frankenstein's Monster, the mummy, a pirate, a ninja, maybe some robot ninja pony pirate princess veteranarians. Then for Christmas time, Jack frost, Santa and Mrs. Claus, elves, frosty the snowman, maybe rent some reindeer. Hire high school and college kids and pay them to paint things each year. It will keep things looking fresh and you can make everything Christmas themed or Halloween themed. Highschool kids paint sets for plays all the time. This kinda thing is cheap and easy and makes a huge difference for the cost of paint and plywood. A huge missed opportunity is an Easter opening during spring. Kids would flip for an Easter egg hunt done right with an Easter bunny they could take pictures with. Do it for like two weeks leading...
Read moreYikes! The cost of this place is astronomical for a pumpkin patch. We paid over $30 in admission fees and to our surprise, not a single person was checking hand stamps? We could have walked in for free? The admission fee gets you literally nothing. The haunted trail costs you ‘10 punches’ so you need to buy a punch card. It was about $50+ for 5 people. We ended up on a truck with kids well under the recommended age (even the parents were bummed because they meant to do the one for little kids). One of the kids working the tour hit me in the head with a prop + didn’t even acknowledge it! The BBQ food area was a disaster. The BBQ sandwich was like cold deli meat + they added a disgusting sauce to it which was not listed on the menu. $55 to feed 3 people! We spent a total of $150 to do the haunted trail, eat a bad sandwich + do about 3 different free activities. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because my kid enjoyed the haunted trail. I’m bummed at how much this place changed...
Read moreI didn't even need to stop in this place to be able to shell out 5 stars for rating it. As far as pumpkin patches are concerned from the road you can see the place would be a hoot for kids and a lot of adults to visit. In addition to pumpkins they had multiple inflatable jumper things for kids to bounce around in. A big two story tube slide structure with multiple slides. Full size Indian teepee. Some kind of rideable pumpkin patch train cars. A giant vw bug pumpki patch spider. Old cars and busses. A wrecking ball giant pumpkin. Picnic tables. And I'm not sure.. But it looked like some kind of petting zoo tent. Google earth shows a corn or some kind of maze. Who knows what else there is to find. Good stuff good times. Cost? Unknown. Hours?...
