314 Exchange — Attraction in Pewee Valley

My husband and I looked for a small venue that would not cost us an arm and a leg that had an outdoor and indoor space. We stumbled upon 314 Exchange during our search. We immediately fell in love with the small building that had a rustic, cottage vibe and the outdoor space right next door. We were allowed to set up the venue as we wanted with the tables and chairs with access to WiFi and their speakers. The owners were incredibly accommodating and allowed us entry in a little early and the use of the leftover decorations from previous parties. They had a fire pit that we utilized for s'mores and a green space that made a great spot for pictures. It appears they have big plans for the outdoor space next door!

We had minimal communication delays and had a small snag when we were getting our food and beverage certifications (I guess that's what happens when you're having a DIY as much as possible). I look forward to seeing this...

314 exchange is a very special and unique space that is locally and family owned. You can really tell how much has been put into the space upon viewing it. The space itself gives off a charming, vintage, feel that could only be created by people who truly cherish the space. Kacie, the owners daughter, gave us our first tour of the space. She also used this space for her own wedding, which is truly telling of how special this space is. We looked at many venues, but none of them compared to 314 exchange. Kacie and her family have been incredibly helpful and accommodating. This space is also extremely well priced compared to other venues. There is an affordable air bnb upstairs along with indoor and outdoor space for your events. My wife and I had our reception here. A good, nice looking place for sure, but it is a little small. We could hardly fit 74 people in there. We were told the tables sat 9, when in fact they only sat 8 so we had to redo our whole seating chart with only an hour to two to go before the reception began. We were also told that this place is Wheelchair Accessible but it very clearly is not. There is a 3 and 1/4 inch bump at the very beginning of their ramp after a windy gravel path. Two families very important to me could not attend because of this. Also, in our contract with them, we were asked to lock up afterwords but were never given the keys to do so.
