Highline Park — Attraction in Phoenix

Recently remodeled and super clean Great place to host a childs bday or bbq. Super easy to get a permit. 5 stars for this!

• PLEASE FIX! 1 star for this!-Only downfall... restrooms might not be open if hosting something on a weekend. I paid for 2 permits to host a kids bday on a Sunday and the restrooms were closed. Someone didnt come over to open the restrooms until a few hours after the start time (and after a few calls). I ended up paying for a portable because I had a lot of kids needing to go. We walk here or ride bikes. Its not terrible but it has so much wasted potential. They put in new playground equipment. I remember over winter we got a notice that they were going to be doing renovations of putting in disc golf, new lighting,  a new sport court, 9-hole Disc Golf Course, WalkPHX path and a new park restroom. I hope they continue with this plan. It would be nice if they could reopen the racket ball courts. Maybe put in pickle ball courts. South Phoenix deserves...

Seating area was clean & spacious, with ample parking nearby. Playground equipment for children, walk trail, trash receptacles & BBQ grills & plenty of grassy areas. Lots of mature trees to gaze at. Grounds are well kept. The bathrooms on-site were not accessible (locked); I assume there's a reason for this (maybe due to covid & to discourage loitering).
