Great morning hike on Christmas Day. Sunny and beautiful! The trails are scattered with broken stone rubble so hiking poles would be in order if you're not sure footed. The stone rubble can easily slide under your feet when you plant your weight going down. The trails are rough, not groomed so there can be treacherous spots along some of the granite crags near the peaks. You may want to wear long pants so as not to skin your shins or ankles. Very nice place for a quite hike.

Good hike with a lot of options, especially if you live close to the area. I parked at the cul de sac on 23rd place on the south west side of the mountain. The path at the trailhead is not well marked and is basically just a wash but is easy to navigate. There are some fairly good uphill options and enough trail to make as long of a hike as you want. Very good views of North Phoenix to the North and the reast of the Preserve to the South.

This review is for Shadow Mountain High School right? I hope that is what my phone is asking.

5 out of 5. It was close to as bad when I started to when I left. They added ID badges where I replaced them with pokemon cards. And fences that are almost completely useless. Oh and they discourage people from being euntrepeneurs by selling slap-on watches when pot is sold, traded, and smoked sometimes in the restroom or out of school.

I requested an education and got something resembling one. I am very very glad it is long over. I served my time in that mini prison more...
