I completely removed my first review since this park has totally changed. They now have a nice new huge playground with a bunch of slides for kids ranging between 12 months to 8 years. There is a corner of the play area that's only for small toddlers. I'd say anywhere from a year to 3 years. There are slides appropriate for their size and areas to climb in and out of that's only for them. The rest of the play area is for the older kids. They have swings and a merry-go-round that is ground level you just step on it and push with your foot. You don't even have to step up. The ground is that soft rubbery material so you don't have to worry about your kids falling on concrete which is really nice. And the best part, for my kids anyway, is they have a- wait for it... ZIPLINE! It's pretty cool. there's a platform you step up on but the younger kids definitely need someone to help them get in. It has one of those seats with the locking mechanism like a roller coaster that you pull down over your chest and lock between your legs. And it just goes straight across so someone needs to push the person to get them started. It's definitely worth going out for. There are a ton of other things for kids to play on, too many to name. It's definitely a huge step up from what it used to be. They still have the splash pad and my only complaint for it is that it IS concrete. I believe they are about to finish up a new restroom right next to the play area which will be really nice until it gets destroyed which I'm sure it will. The old restroom is still in use across the way by the soccer field but it can be really nasty, like seriously you don't even want to go in. The new playground has tables to sit at where you can eat and benches all around & it is fenced in, and has a huge shaded area with a wooden deck that's also huge. It's not that uncomfortable for adults is what I'm trying to say. There are a ton of kids that come out so it is starting to get a little bit of wear and tear in certain areas. And every now and then you see some leftover garbage from food that people leave which really irritates me but for the most part it's fairly clean. Overall I definitely give it five stars since it is an awesome step up. (The first set of pics are from the old playground & the videos are...

Who’s responsible? What a shame to see this brand new equipment and grounds be so neglected. Does anyone check to see if the equipment is even still safe? I counted 3 merry-go-rounds with bolts and/or parts missing, and loose parts/bolts it’s just not safe. And the trash… dozens of kids socks, empty water bottles, candy wrappers, even a few abandoned shoes. It was 48 degrees and only 2 other kids there so I knew known of what we saw belonged to anybody there. And the list of things I could criticize could go on and on. The screw heads on the deck are sticking up (ouch if you’re barefooted!) Sad to think this place is about a year old. I heard it cost a lot of money…

Update - 11/04/3023

It seems like Nothing Has Changed… Equipment is still missing parts, grounds are full of trash and now large dogs are allowed to room freely without a leash!?!? This is ridiculous… The equipment is full of mold and extremely dirty. Again, all the $$$$$$ this place cost… SAD. Who is responsible for...

I suppose for the town it is in, the park is okay. If you are used to being disappointed, that is. After years of fundraising for a splash pad, the splash pad was very small for the amount of people expected to use it. The bathrooms are always having plumbing problems and really need updating. When i learned half of thr county budget goes to law enforcement and a one digit percent goes to parks and recreation, I realized that this place is not concerned with providong a safe place for young people to enjoy themselves. There is often litter left behind from people fornicating at the park i guess, because i have never been there thay i dont find an empty...

This park has a lot of potential. But it's dirty and needs groundwork. Its not the safest park. But it does have an old school playground feel. If you want a park that reminds you of your elementary friend breaking his arm and crying like a baby for hour this is for you. A blast from the past. Nothing like a trip to the ER and a cast to wear to school the next day.
