Pearl River County Welcome Center — Attraction in Picayune

April 24, 2019 9pm What a Mississippi welcome. In 25 years of trucking, this is maybe my 3rd or 4th time in this region. I pulled in hoping to find a parking spot. They were all full. As I was leaving, I noticed an RV dump. Cool! I needed to dump my Porto potty. The guard saw what I was doing and came over to me and told me to leave right now! I told him I was about to. Not being from around these parts, I was hoping to ask him if he knew where there might be truck parking? He started to drive off and was saying, you can't park here, you have to leave and I'm not answering any questions. Some welcome center! I don't get it? The guard was a total a-hole. Just yelled at me and drive off like I was a criminal. Treated...

One of the best rest stops in America! They are friendly and helpful. The center is open 8-5. Clean. Good security 24/7.

Trucker Friendly.

Sometimes fills up at night. But definitely worth the stop especially if you have a packed lunch. There are picnic tables on the grounds. Clean restrooms.

Unwelcomed at Welcome Center July 13, 2018 @ 2200.

Truck spots were filled. I backed into the passenger car spot to avoid blocking entry & exit. Was immediately confronted by bathroom security Nazi. I asked for 3 minutes to use the restroom. He refused. Told me to park my hazmat tanker on the side of the highway & walk back to the restroom.

I understand having a job, but whatever happened to a little human decency. Welcome to Mississippi.....
