I had the privilege of attending a truly remarkable wedding at Piedmont Park in Piedmont, and I must say, it was anything but typical for a park setting. The event took place in a stunning forested area within the park, and the outdoor setup was nothing short of magical.
What made this wedding even more unique was that it was a traditional Chinese wedding, and they managed to cook everything right there on site. The aromas of delicious Chinese cuisine filled the air, adding an extra layer of authenticity and charm to the day.
The forested backdrop lent an enchanting atmosphere to the ceremony, and as the day transitioned into evening, the setting took on an ethereal quality with the soft glow of lanterns and fairy lights.
One noteworthy aspect of this wedding was the time restriction - the party had to end at 8 pm. Surprisingly, this limitation didn't detract from the experience. In fact, it added a sense of intimacy and allowed everyone to fully savor the day without the pressure of a late-night celebration.
Overall, the combination of Piedmont Park's natural beauty, the unique cultural elements of the traditional Chinese wedding, and the on-site cooking made this wedding an unforgettable and extraordinary experience. It showcased the park's versatility and its ability to host exceptional events beyond...

Read moreThis a small gem of a park. I rated 5 for the following reasons. For a small town park, this has a lot to offer. A beautiful, scenic lawn for reading a book on a blanket below a large tree, or sitting on a bench. It has a wonderful children's playground, good drinking fountains, a beautiful entrance, and some history associated w the location. If you have 4 legged children, there is an area behind the park which offers a dog park. This is unlike any you will have visited, it is a series of trails below redwoods where you can allow your puppy off leash. Great place for a warm day for your dog. I will be...
