I had the privilege of attending a truly remarkable wedding at Piedmont Park in Piedmont, and I must say, it was anything but typical for a park setting. The event took place in a stunning forested area within the park, and the outdoor setup was nothing short of magical.

What made this wedding even more unique was that it was a traditional Chinese wedding, and they managed to cook everything right there on site. The aromas of delicious Chinese cuisine filled the air, adding an extra layer of authenticity and charm to the day.

The forested backdrop lent an enchanting atmosphere to the ceremony, and as the day transitioned into evening, the setting took on an ethereal quality with the soft glow of lanterns and fairy lights.

One noteworthy aspect of this wedding was the time restriction - the party had to end at 8 pm. Surprisingly, this limitation didn't detract from the experience. In fact, it added a sense of intimacy and allowed everyone to fully savor the day without the pressure of a late-night celebration.

Overall, the combination of Piedmont Park's natural beauty, the unique cultural elements of the traditional Chinese wedding, and the on-site cooking made this wedding an unforgettable and extraordinary experience. It showcased the park's versatility and its ability to host exceptional events beyond...

piedmont park was cool. it was just me, my step father, his brothers, his son, and his friends. we all got dressed up in our tuxedos and we went by the piedmont community church to take some photos. some group photos and some photos by ourselves, when we got there we were getting all decent and nice before the photos were taken. and the photographer was really nice she was great at taking the photos. after we took photos outside, we went inside the church to take more group photos. and after that, we just went to eat at buttercup and we had a great time. so yeah, I didn't really have time to go by the park, because I was with the guys, but hopefully next...

This a small gem of a park. I rated 5 for the following reasons. For a small town park, this has a lot to offer. A beautiful, scenic lawn for reading a book on a blanket below a large tree, or sitting on a bench. It has a wonderful children's playground, good drinking fountains, a beautiful entrance, and some history associated w the location. If you have 4 legged children, there is an area behind the park which offers a dog park. This is unlike any you will have visited, it is a series of trails below redwoods where you can allow your puppy off leash. Great place for a warm day for your dog. I will be...

Very beautiful park (I mean I expect nothing less from Piedmont). Very kid and family friendly. There’s also a nice walking trail that I’ve done a few times. My favorite sitting spot is by the Wells Fargo area and police station which always gives me anxiety because I’m a black woman sitting in a park in a significantly white neighborhood. Also the squirrels here are cute and seem to be more welcoming of humans so don’t be alarmed, just don’t feed them. Follow me for more reviews! Also can be found on Instagram @florazambakari

This park gets overlooked because Piedmont get bypassed by most of us from Oakland. Great walks. Good benches. Most of it is along a managed stream bed. Nice place for a sit, a walk or a dog walk. NOTE: Much of this park is a legal, off leash dog park. Care for children accordingly. NOTE #2: There is a small, convient parking lot on the north end next to the community building. It is very easy to overshoot the lot entrance because it is right on the curve.
