Did the trail today..sadly waterfall was about dry. Have done several trails in the Smokies and not really that concerned about views, just appreciate it if I find some. Read lots of various opinions on this trail, which I’m assuming this results from hiking skill level. It’s true you won’t see a lot of people and it’s quiet. Was disappointed in the trail as a lot seemed more like a hard, washed out gully old logging road, as well as gravel driveway. Read moreThis is a beautiful trail. First half of its pretty easy going. last half is extremely strenuous. And just the time you think you've reached the last steep hill, there's another one coming. This trail is labeled as moderate difficulty. I think it's a little bit tougher than moderate, in my opinion. my wife almost had to call 911 three times because she was afraid I was having a heart attack but I would not give up. I finally made it to the top and screamed at the top of my lungs, Drago!!! Just like Rocyy did...

As far as a simple and convenient trail I have given 5 stars. There is a waterfall like feature at about the 1/2 mile mark so it’s an ideal short hike for families with small kids. Beyond that there is not much payoff for kids. At about 1.5 mark begins the final leg and it’s straight up trail. Stick to the first 1/2 mile (in/out 1 mile). Water feature pictured herein.
