It’s amazing how the roads, bridges and railroads were designed and built. Our train conductor was Julie, friendly, informative and focused on safety at all times. Our guide Eric is so knowledgeable! He is calm, courteous, and a detail man. As he informed us, he was able to answer questions with details and specificity. If you’re a history buff, you’ll really enjoy this place. And even if you’re not, it’s still a site worth stopping at to see. Read moreVery expensive. Nothing to see here. Most buildings are closed except for a very small unremarkable museum . The admission price is hefty 15.00 for an island with nothing on it. It is a scheme to get you to pay to use the bathroom and enter the gift shop for a bottle of water after a long two mile walk to get there. Yes that is correct 15.00 to go to the gift shop.
I was charged a fee to sit in a chair and wait for my spouse to pay 15.00 for the use of the bathroom. They charged my credit card just to wait for him since I was on the island.
