Was there for an event with my mother. When we left it was dark out. The lighting on the path out of the property is horrible and my mother fell down a 4-5in step that was poorly visible. I almost fell as well. She fell face first and hit her head, knee, ribs and wrist. An ER visit that night showed her wrist broken in 3 places.
The worse part however, was the way we were treated by the staff. My mother was laying on the concrete, face down and an employee tells us to get up and move because we were blocking people trying to leave. I am so thankful for the off duty EMT that was at the event - he assessed her from head to toe, took my jacket to make a splint for her arm because he could tell something was really wrong with it. My mother did not have any drinks that night - she was supposed to be our designated driver. She is an active person too - still takes care of horses and grooms dogs.
My husband went to bring the car closer to where she fell and he was told by another employee to move his car so other cars could get out. Cars were easily driving around us and we told him no - that my mother was still on the ground from falling down a poorly lit step. We finally got her in the car and headed straight to the ER. After many Xrays and CT scans - we found out her wrist was broken in 3 places. This happened on a Friday night - Three days later she had to have pins and plates surgically placed.
The way we were treated was very disappointing and unprofessional. I have called several times to speak with the owners about what occurred - never have gotten a call back. Now when I call, I don't even get a person anymore - just an answering machine.
I do not recommend going to an event there unless you can afford all the medical bills that go with needed treatment due to negligent lighting. Numerous surgeon visits, surgery, ER visit, and hand therapy add up!
It feels they are hiding something or know they're negligent as they're essentially ghosting us.
Of note, my mother wrote a review as well and they are lying when they say they've given us insurance information and have returned phone calls/emails! That has not...
Read moreI got married here April 2024. The two things my husband and I received the most guest compliments about were the natural, breathtaking beauty of the venue, and the food! Both of these were provided by the Orrmont Estate! The owners are wonderful to work with, so kind and accommodating. I stayed with some of my bridesmaids in the onsite Airbnb the night before the wedding, which is right above the bridal suite. Most beautiful Airbnb I've ever stayed in and CLEANEST! Then the gorgeous bridal suite was just a walk down the stairs! The grounds were just perfect for our day. One of our groomsmen actually said, "I didn't know a place could be that beautiful". We had our ceremony in the outdoor area surrounded by trees, and our reception in their new building, which blew everyone away. The weather was perfect so we were able to raise the glass garage doors for an open-air reception, and we had our first dance on the patio right outside the building. Everything about it was just perfect, and Keirstin was especially so helpful and kind to me through the planning process. Other unique details I loved: the tree-lined drive to the venue area, the creative catering experience, the most reasonable prices, and the down-to-earth wedding planning experience! Thank you so much for our...
Read moreI decided to change my review after seeing others. If you want to go here feel free but the staff doesn't seem to care to help, the venue is a bit crazily priced for what you truly get in the end. I had helped with my sisters wedding (we paid extra for the Coordinator). Setting up for this event would have been a little easier with some assistance but on the night before the wedding when we were setting up it seemed that there only concern was if we were going to go over time. Aswell as for the pricing I know that the property is a work in progress but as someone with allergies it would have been nice to Know that the "Dungeon" (Groomsman Dressing Area) has mold.
~ I was privy to all expenses and I'm sure her day would have been much nicer if we had the golf cart we paid for to cross the 300yards of grass and hills between the bridal sweet and hall, if guests with health conditions were not forced outside in inclement weather without first asking the bride due too "private dance", and if the coordinator had actully helped with coordinateing the active event day of where no one really knew when things were going to happen nore did they convey this to anyone involved in the party. And for Free Tap Water I think $150 is a...
