El Tequila Mexican Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Ohio

Updating my review. We said we would come back for the food, not the service last time. Well, we won’t be back for the food either anymore. Party of 3 and over $125 bill because my husband and I each ordered a flight of margaritas (no price on menu) and they were each about the size of a shot glass but was $22 each!! No wonder there was no price. Also service was awful, again. Waitress didn’t even bring our drinks until long after our food was delivered. Never checked back with us once. I had the Molcajete and it was inedible! Chorizo was burnt char…chicken was like jerky… it was downright disgusting!!!!!!!! Not to mention they got the order wrong but with no waitress ever returning we couldn’t get it fixed. Charged $7 for lettuce and sour cream for our burrito.

Avoid like the plague!!!!!!!

Original post: Food was fantastic and so were the margaritas. Jalapeño margarita was outstanding! Party of 7 and everyone loved their meals. The food will bring us back, definitely not the service. Had to wait forever for everything. Had our food a solid 5 min before they even brought utensils. Will definitely give them another shot though, the food...

We were in Piqua because my daughter was singing at the Crooked Handle for the Mills brother Lazy River benefit. Once they were done we were starving and my daughter pulled up your restaurant on Google and because it was the closest we decided to give it a shot. When we got there we are a little bit nervous cuz it looks very small, but oh my word what a big multi-layered restaurant on the river. It was a nice night so we asked to be seated outside! Such an enjoyable and relaxing atmosphere! Waitress was super kind and chatty. I ordered my usual Mexican restaurant order of fajita texanas and a jumbo margarita! The margarita was delicious! The fajita texanas were Out Of This World!! The steak and chicken were so tender and delicious, HUGE shrimp and awesome portions!! My daughter and I split the order and we were both stuffed!!! Definitely tasted home cooked and not typical Tex mex restaurant style!! Thanks for an amazing dinner after a great evening!!! We live in Bellefontaine which is a little far but if we're ever near Piqua again we will be back!!! ...

We decided to try this restaurant out tonight after realizing that our favorite Mexican restaurant was closed tonight. The service was so bad. 4 of the servers(including our waitress) sat at a table 2 tables over from ours(we could see them),they sat, laughed, read their phones, and ate their dinners while missing several items we ordered, never gave us refills, brought our meals out at different times, and never checked on us. One waitress came over (not acknowledging us) turned the TV up beside us to an extremely loud music video and we couldn’t ever hear each other talk.(we were the only ones in there). We are pretty sure they did this so they could have a good time. The experience was not enjoyable and just plain weird. This place was a one and done for us. Highly suggest going any where...
