Quick hike, trail easy to follow and well marked. The first section is steep for the not used to hiking but take your time. Just get past the lower ski slope and it is not as intense. Not hard but your heart will be pumping and the thighs will feel alive just starting out. About 50 to 1 +10 to the bench and 30 to 40 to come back down. Worth the view and you hit it alone very peaceful. Great exercise and a feeling of the Berkshire. Pull into Ski area go left you may see cars parked by trailhead. If not nice sign to identify. Just walk up the ski hill follow blue marks. When into the trail nice hike not to far into wilderness, follow trail to bench. Met a late 60+ coming down the path and a woman with a leashed dog.    Read moreWell marked and maintained trails. There are some areas that the trail is dense when if you head up to the cobble rather than just exploring the ski slopes as some choose. Diverse life in the woods, newts, wildflowers.. truly rich and luscious. The small vista at the Mahanna cobble is really lovely, with a stone bench to relax and take it in. One thing...the Parking is a little tricky as there is no signage from the road. Basically, you pull in at the base of Bousquet and stay to the left. When you start to walk right up the ski slope you'll see the Orangish signage, and then the blue blazes.
