0 stars. The owners are Natzi. Owners hate Russians. Sunday, I joined a party of Russian friends to celebrate one of the couples daughter's birthday. About 20 of us, including kids, arrived at the orchard, at the picnic area. At the time, I should mention, two picnic tables near by, were occupied buy adolescent Americans. Our party was multinational, but mostly Russians. First we noticed that employees randomly walked near or through our party. When asked what they were looking for, they replied they were just waking. About 45 minutes into our party, one employee approached one of the attendees, who was standing to the side. The employee asked the attendee if our group was from a church. The reply was no. The second question was if we were Russians. Since that particular attendee and most of people in our party were Russians, the attendee replied that, yes, we were Russians. The employee immediately followed by stating we only had one our and then we had to leave. The employee then walked away. Once the whole party learned of what had happened, the mood had change. Some attendees went and spoke to the owner, who denied everything. However, the employee who said what he said admitted to saying what he said, at which time the owner said we can stay as long as we want, but no apologies were given. The mood was ruined so we decided to relocate to a different orchard. As we were gathering our belongings, the random employee checks of our area continued. As we walked to our cars, we saw them looking at us with their mean facial expressions. We moved to a different orchard and spent the rest of the day in a great mood. So, I will never go again to O'Hallorans, and I will tell as many people as I can about this incident. Shame on you O'Hallorans owners. This is a case of pure stereotyping and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI would like to preface this review by stating that I have been going to Apple Hill since I was a kid. Now I take my kids there multiple times a year. This year we went to a couple of our favorite spots and tried one new spot and boy did we regret it. After having a beautiful afternoon enjoying the fall experience at apple hill we ventured to this venue. There was literally no one there, which was weird cause everywhere else was very active. We thought it was closed and asked if it was when we pulled up. They said they were open, so we parked our vehicle to check it out. We were in search for 6 pumpkins to take home and saw their pumpkin patch in the distance, so we went over to inquire about the pricing. While we were discussing this with one of the workers (some bitter lady), my youngest sat on a nearby bench. Suddenly we saw a pumpkin roll down and the lady picked it up, saw it was cracked and made a huge deal about it, causing my daughter to cry and I told her we would just pick a similar one out from the patch to replace it with. She said the pumpkin was for someone (remember we were the only customers there). She proceeded to make a huge ordeal and started measuring the broken pumpkin and told us we were going to have to pay for it. Needless to say, they didnāt get a dollar from us and we will never recommend or come back to a place, that literally sent a 4 year old who accidentally knocked over a pumpkin home crying. Of course there are a million places at Apple Hill to choose from so we ventured to one of our usual places and had a very pleasant experience picking out our pumpkins from them. Definitely do not visit this place is you are expecting a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate: feeling less bad as I see I am not the only one who has had a terrible experience with the rude staff here. All seem to be recent reviews as well. I highly recommend skipping this one on your Apple Hill day to avoid souring your apple picking adventures :-)
Wow. I donāt want to bring down a family owned business, but I truly have never been spoken to in a ruder way from someone at a family farm, and this visit really soured this portion of our otherwise wonderful apple farm visit.
We came here to pick today and there were no apples left, only some very very high where you have to use the dangerous pronged picker. We picked a few more than we intended to purchase because you couldnāt see the applies, so half of what you picked was rotten. I brought up the smaller ones with some rotting because I didnāt want them to go to waste. I told the kid working there and he started lecturing me how I was ruining the trees and ruining their farms by not buying all of the apples and I had to buy them all. I am certain most people leave the apples they donāt want on the ground- I was trying to be considerate but was instead snapped at in a really aggressive, rude way. I ended up buying them all (about 8 relatively small apples for $15), but absolutely will not be returning here and will let our family friends know of...
