I wasn't sure what to expect heading to this soak. All I knew was the word of two other trusted previous soakers who said this was THE SPOT for mineral springs in Montana. I've been to other hot springs before, so I was expecting something curated and refined. Camas isn't that. It's primitive in the best ways. At $5 per person per day, I don't know that you can beat the price.
A note on procedure: Bring a $5 bill. Put that bill in the metal repository at the gate. Soak.
When I was there, in early July, there were understandably few other soakers (one). Still, it was wonderful. The pool is concrete and the majority of it is covered by a corrugated roof while still leaving a bit open to the sun lovers.

This place is completely dilapidated and closed probably has been for 30 years I got information from a local source that they're planning to rebuild it but that hasn't happened yet and it's been subject to vandalism . There's multiple other hot springs options in Hot Springs Montana though be sure to visit the Symes... the classic Hot Springs Hotel and Resort a couple of blocks from this vacant building.
