Big Medicine Hot Springs — Local services in Plains

Haven't been there in years but doesn't look like it's changed at all! Hope it never does. There is a main bath house but they were closing when we got there, i think it was around 8pm. There are also 3 little cabins, very cozy from what i remember. And in front of those is a cute little covered area with a tub. In the off season you more than likely would be the only guest and soak all night if you like. So pretty out there where you can see all the stars! I don't know what their overnight prices are now but 10 yrs ago it was $25 a night. I noticed they have an rv out there now too, that may be cabin 4? Not sure. Definitely a hidden gem and even if you're somewhat local you still might not...

Wonderful zen sulfuric pool… you can tell the water is extremely nutrient rich! I’d guess the temps were 105+. Very steady inflow keeping the pool crisp and clean!

There are 2 bathrooms, bucket flush, and some hooks to hang your clothes. Honor system $5 per person as you enter. Could definitely be spruced up as it’s surrounded by a barbed wire fence… owner came up and yelled at some dirt bag van lifers for having their dog.

Signs clearly say no dogs, don’t be those people that think their special and rules don’t apply to them! I don’t want poo runoff in my tubs either. 9.7/10 experience. Will definitely visit this hot...

Nice hot springs but the owner is not no nice! We each had a light beer with us because we did not see the no alcohol sign. We told her we were sorry and we did not know and would stop but she said no I am asking you to leave. We compiled and were very apologetic but she was cold and unfriendly. I will never go back. I would have left because she asked anyway but she could have been nicer about it. We are in our late 60’s and were obviously not drunk and causing problems. There was no need to be so mean to us.
