Great park for the family. Lots of activities for the family, definitely designed with young children in mind. A small section with water features (fountain like jets spraying from the ground) to keep the kids cool. Bring some towels to for the kids and to help keep your car seats dry on the way home.
If you have a dog, they have a couple of fenced in, free roam, dog areas. One of which is fairly large. Both are well kept, but they rely on us, the dog owners to pick up after our pooches. Pepper, my puppy, loves it. And there's a fountain in the dog park in case you're puppy gets thirsty from all of the running around. But you might consider a small rubber portable dog bowl to keep by you under the shade of the pavilion in the dog park. It's hot and your dog will get thirsty and come to visit you. Don't be surprised if other dogs want to share the water. Sharing is caring. Be prepared to fill the bowl multiple times.

There are a ton of entitled parents who are oblivious and completely disrespectful of the shared space. When we were there a yesterday, they were having a few parties and multiple people just decided to trash the place with their disposable cups and plastic water bottles. The parks are only as nice as we help keep them. It is unfortunate that people treat such a nice place this way and ruin the experience for those that are truly trying to be respectful. We will keep coming to this park, but probably never during busier...
Read moreGreat little park with something for everyone. HOWEVER! City of Plano, I would love to see you out here monitoring (and maybe citing/ticketing!) all the dog owners who think it’s acceptable to have their animals off-leash. This morning I saw several.
At this park, there is an area for off leash dogs. A super nice DOG PARK! The area is divided for the small & large dogs and it is great! But around the walking path and in the green spaces, if you are a dog owner, your dog should be leashed and the leash should be in your hand, under your control. There are kids everywhere and people running and off leash dogs have a prey drive and want to chase movement. Please...
