Berry Sweet Acres — Attraction in Plant City

Today 2/8/24 we drove to Berry Sweet Acres from Tampa anticipating delicious red, ripe sweet strawberries. I asked before going to the fields "do you have a lot of ripe berries" and the kind lady said "we sure do." After walking up and down multiple rows and trying to get a glimpse of a red berry I almost gave up when my friends told me they found some. So my hunt contined and finally begin picking semi red berries. After returning home and eating 2 berries realized they were crunchy and slightly sweet. They needed about another week to ripen. So we were disappointed that the berries were not ripe enough to enjoy. The fields were well maintained and employees were kind. Just a heads up might want to wait at this particular place a while longer to enjoy delicious ripe Plant City...

Not recommended for following reasons: Be mindful to read the sign & NOT taste their strawberry at all before you are done picking & and paying for their strawberry. Our group had 5 people including the kids accidentally tasted the strawberry and was accused from stealing from their agricultural land. Strawberry did not taste good. If you are looking to get greater taste don't go there (for experience it's fine) Poor instructions. If you have small kids, Makesure your children pick less than the case lid so lid can be closed. Otherwise, will be considered as "picking too mcuh - not passed" and have to pay for another case (empty case will be given). The price is cheap & not a major concern, but proper guidance should be given for bigger groups...

This field of sunflowers and zinnias is not very large, wilting and looks burned out from the sun, and not well taken care of. My family and I drove over an hour to get here without cash because usually debit cards are taken nowadays and we were denied access to even take a photo from over 20 feet away from the field. We weren’t asking to wander the fields, but to take a single photo after driving that far and being disappointed anyway. We were told to drive to the local Walmart to get cash, but decided to go to another flower field somewhat nearby. It was just the attitude we received as well, and I don’t know if it had to do with the fact that we are Hispanic, but we will not...
