Paid $640 for a STEAM washer and dryer set and got them delivered. I turn it on and instantly it start flooding my house (laundry room is in the kitchen). I rush and turn it off and find that the front filter was left off so I install it and run it again. I hear it beeping and noticed it says it can't drain because the filter is clogged. I drain the washer threw a little hose in the front. I removed the filter and notice that it has gravel and sand all in it....okay no biggie I'll just clean it. I repeat the process manually draining it and cleaning the filter hair ball, dirt, sand, and rocks come out of it. By 2 a.m. after multiple time of washing and manually draining it I finally give up. The next morning (less than 24hrs) I call Lugo appliances and let them know the issue. I was told the wrong washer was delivered and that they will be bringing me the correct one, it arrives by 11 a.m. before the guy brings it in I noticed it doesn't have the steam feature, I point it out. As I'm looking into the washer I noticed that it has candy wrappers and of course full of sand. The black mold on the inside of the dryer was absolutely disgusting. I call the store and advise them that this washer was not what we originally purchased, it doesn't have the steam feature and it also completely filthy. After a while of going back and forth I tell them to take all of it back...there response was, "sorry no refunds!" More going back and forth, finally the guy takes all of the machines back, I refused to keep them. I gave them what they asked for $640 and I expected what I paid for. I go directly to the shop and no one was anywhere to be found. I sit and wait for 20 mins, finally the manager shows up. I tell her she can keep $100 because I understand that there was a delivery and men working to deliver it, I guess that wasn't good enough. She call the owner MARIO LUGO and passes the phone to me. This coward who wouldn't even show his face and has a female employee doing all his dirty work has the nerve to tell me, "that's your problem you should've checked it before you bought it." Thank God I have a lawyer that I work with regularly so it sacred him and he ended up giving back $500 still $40 short but he can keep it. He is a thief and a con artist please don't ever do business there! I went to HHGREG and got a brand new set with a 10 year motor warranty for only a couple hundred dollars more.... and if I they don't work properly I can get my money back, no problem! PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM...
Read moreAre usually do not buy used appliances however in an emergency we need refrigerator it was a Friday at 4 o’clock and we went there and they had a somewhat nice refrigerator Samsung to door not bad after two weeks of using it the fridge raider froze up they sent a guy out who chipped all the ice away and did a good job and even though it was free we tipped him $20.02 weeks later it froze up again it’s been freezing up ever cents before it froze up though since we thought it was so great after a week we went back and bought a washer and dryer now the washing machine which is only two years old won’t agitate they’re telling me they don’t send people out for the washing machine that I have to take out of my house and drive back to their place.... they will do me the courtesy of giving me some of the money I paid for the bad washer towards a new washer and dryer even though I’ve had these less than a month and of course the new washer and dryer is close to $800 these people are Con ArtistS. I understand there’s a risk in buying used equipment but these people are just Con Artists!! There is no way you do not have a repair guy that can’t come to the house the same as the refrigerator guy did to repair a washing machine I’m certainly sure the scam works because people can’t just pick their washer up and bring it to you but I am truly truly disappointed with this company and I know they don’t care like most businesses in plant city I’m not truly sure of how legit they are but I guess will be finding out as I file my Better Business Bureau...
Read moreGood prices on used appliances. Repair parts available too, but I'll avoid that in the future. The employees are great, but the owner seems a little shady.
Went one day for a repair part; they asked how much the party cost on eBay and I said $20 new, I just didn't want to wait for shipping. They were very helpful and friendly, but said come back tomorrow because they had to pull the part.
When I turned up the next day they had the part, but the owner was in the office while I was waiting to pay. He sized me up (young woman, kids in tow, probably assumed I had no clue) said the part would be $30, then left before I could protest. I felt obligated to buy it because the employees had already pulled it for me and because I'd already waited a day and needed to fix my dryer.
That said, I was in a few months prior for a washer and had a much better experience. I got quite a nice washer for a good price. Pretty sure everything in a category (all washers, all dryers, etc) are the same price, so take a look around and pick the one you like best. We've used it constantly and are really loving it, and I'll definitely buy from them in the future.
TL;DR - Good value for used appliances, skip the parts, and the employees are way nicer...
