Plantation Heritage Park Duck Pond — Attraction in Plantation

This is a cute little park that is an extension of Plantation Heritage Park across the street. It has a parking lot, pavilion, pond, gazebo, a short walking path, and historic remnants of the old Peter's farm house.

When I was a teenager and in puppy love with Janie Peeples, we used to come here for picnics. We would watch the families playing with their small children and talk about how great it would be to have that experience.

This was a great place to have my sister's Celebration of Life. The pavilion was perfect for the amount of people that we had. The restrooms were clean. There is electricity for you to use for fans (which we needed due to the extreme heat in June). The park itself is very clean and well maintained. Ah, memories. This was a great place to take a girl in the 1970's when I was a teen living in Plantation. Took a few girls there to park in my car till the wee hours of the morning, still remember each of them.
