2025- still a terrible review for a terrible park. Do not go here and plan on having a picnic. They will give preference to people going around throwing frisbees. This park will ask you to get up and move your picnic and will take pictures of you having a picnic as proof. They tried to compare it to a hike course when it is clearly not. I’ve yet to see or understand where the fund of this park are going. The people that come play frisbee will literally have meltdowns if they cannot throw their frisbees into the basket. They cannot just skip a basket and will go to the office to complain. Stay away from this park to avoid issues using the grounds or getting hit by a flying frisbee. Find another park to go to and give them your money.
This park is falling apart. I have seen no progress since before the pandemic. Yes they created an outdoor gym BUT the entire this is under construction. They have removed the beautiful Forrest that centered the park and have yet to replace it with trees. They have taken down the cover for the large park and the play area gets so hot that kids can’t even play in the slides. They have removed all of the swings in park. The lakes dock is lifted and is such an eye sore to look at. I’m really wondering as the years go by what they actually do with the funds that they collect ???? I have been a resident of the area for 20+ years. Let’s not even talk about the duck pond and the carelessness going...
Read moreWhat we got to see of this park was very nice. I wish it hadn't rained all afternoon, so I could have taken a better looks around.
While we were working our way towards the pavilion for the baby shower (there are 10 pavilions), we saw lots of greenery, a nice lake with pedal boats, a covered play area, etc.
The road runs one way in a loop around the shelters, so it's easy to find where you're going. Parking is pretty adequate, so nobody had to walk too far in the rain. There were BBQ grills at the pavilions, but they were a bit on the small side. All of the shelters looked to be the same size. You can put 40 people in one, if it's raining, but they aren't going to have much room to move around.
It would be nice if they had a couple of shelters that were bigger, to provide for a larger group. I'm also used to parks charging a per car fee when you enter, but not a per person fee, which somehow just didn't seem right.
Someday I'd like to go back and check out the...
Read moreBeautiful well kept park. We frequent here about every other week. This particular 4 star rating is with respects to the event rental. We rented shelter 4 right next to the big playground. Was absolutely great! The reason for the missing star is because we had this grounds keeper keep coming over to ask me for a deposit at the office. I made my reservation online and paid for my shelter via their website. I think it is so thoughtless to not keep the same card on file for a deposit. It was a little embarrassing and frustrating having someone request a deposit while trying to host 20 kids and 20 adults. All in all, my Husband split off and took care of it at the office and our daughter enjoyed her first big birthday celebration for her 4th birthday. Definitely add in on the reservation process to hold deposit there is my only...
