I happened upon this beach by accident one day, about 7 years ago. The kids I nannied for, my daughter and I had visited Jelly Belly. When I couldn't find a place by the water for lunch, we picked up McDonalds and drove down the street and I said I was going to turn down the first street I can see the lake. This was such a great find. So beautiful and quiet. I was afraid it was only for the subdivision, but I saw other Illinois plates, and figured we were good. I loved how close the parking was to the beach. There was a port a potty when we had gone last. We named this beach Jelly Belly beach, since we had gone annually the next 6 years til covid hit. The last time we went, the area of the beach we normally would hang out, was under water. (Screensaver picture) Glad to see there is a beach this year.
