Wow! What a great and beautiful park in between the hustle and bustle of the suburbs and close to the cities! This park is easy to get to right near HWY 169 and located on Medicine Lake. There’s a ton of biking/walking/running trails that go through it. There are bike racks to lock your bike up and a huge parking lot for parking. You can enjoy the beauty of Medicine Lake while sitting on one of the many benches or take a swim in the Lake from the beach access. There’s a sheltered pavilion you can rent out for parties or gatherings with plenty of seating and grills. They also have bathrooms and a water bottle filling station and drinking fountain. The pavilion also has a little outdoor shower to wash the sand off of your feet and body. We enjoyed the giant newer playground. Half of the playground had wood chips but also has a few areas of rubberized surfacing. There is a lot of different equipment to play on. They have special area for children age 2-5 years old and another area designated for children ages 5-12 years old. Theres even adaptive swings. My favorite is the swing that has an option for an adult to sit on one side and the toddler to sit across from them so they can swing together. The City of Plymouth does a great job keeping this park clean. We enjoy watching the many water fowl in the lake and many monarch...
Read moreI went to fb for recommendations while looking for the perfect spot to watch the sunset . A friend suggested this park and since it’s close to my home I drove over to check it out. To my surprise there were other people there with cameras, hammocks and blankets gazing and snapping photos of the colorful sky and the sun as it disappeared below the horizon.
There is a really cute and clean park with a super cool very tall slide that when I brought the kids on a later date, they informed me this was their new favorite park. Honestly I absolutely agree and we spend at least 2 sunsets a week there. My kids and I lost my husband/their Dad in July and the searching for a sunset is a part of our attempt to not only find peace but be as close to him in any way possible and trust me, it’s definitely a place to accommodate any attempt at healing. There are ample benches and tanning chairs that align the beach portion of the park where in assuming people swim in the summer as upon it sit a lifeguard tower. There are bbq grills and even a building for bathroom and hand washing.
I absolutely recommend visiting this park for any reason I don’t believe you will...
Read moreSuper hard to find/get to. Awesome park.
Not a 5 because of access. Bbq and pavilion there to have hangouts and weekend get togethers. The kids playground isn't quantity it iS quality! Super fun slides, even I thought the tube one is fast. The tower part has a sign 5 years up/ I would go with if you have young kids because the top portion of the tower is a rope climb to make it to the top platform. All of the park has a beautiful view of the lake, good spot to catch a fish or the sunset. There is a paved parking lot but it only has 40 to 50 spots so it would Lively be full on the weekends in the summertime. There is a paved trail all around the lake, good enough for bikes, stollers, Roller blades and walking. The park has drinking fountains and benches, also a beach for sandcastles and swimming. I guess it biggest weakness is the capacity of people it can comfortably accommodate. But if you are there on a mid- week day,...
