First things first: I would give this place five stars except that people tend to litter and ruin it, never mind that there's large dumpsters for trash. Everything else is awesome. There's a splash zone, but I haven't used it yet. And general, I've never walked to the trail or used the fields. For my observations, they are large and clean and well-maintained. Brooklyn Park: The play structure allows for all kinds of play, including some heated tag derivatives for older kids (dads!). There's three different zones for age groups (little toddlers, little kids, everyone else), and each is well-designed and ample. They used to have the rubber chips, but they've recently replaced it with more of a mesh that we really enjoy playing on. The whole area is encompassed by a 3 ft fence save the one entrance on the south end leading up to the pavilions. There's a few little quasi gymnastics areas to climb on and test your skills, plenty of slides, some musical instruments, swings, and a little rock formation for the kids to climb on. I'm not a big fan of new age swings; they're way too short to get any kind of exhilaration out of them. There are handicap accessible swings, on that note. Pavilions and restrooms: other than in the dead of summer, it's usually rather breezy if not windy there. I go here about four times a year. There's two pavilion areas, which are quite ample in size and provide about six tables each. They are available for rent. The restrooms are located between the pavilions, and they're usually very good, but don't expect them to be open during frost season (typically open from memorial day to labor day). I came in mid-may and they were open, but the weather has been warm. There's a few other tables and a couple of large trees to sit in the shade outside of the pavilion. The city and the contributors really went out of their way to make us a place for everyone to have a good,...
Read moreDo you have a brood of belligerent children spun up on life or on a sugar high? This is the playground to be at. Let's start with a brand new splash pad that could only be better if it showered ICCU cash instead of water.
The play areas are separate age appropriate agglomerations with many different themes. We got space alien, wild west, pirate, and farm asthetics. A music area with xylophone and drums fills the ear. Plenty of spinny and shakey toys to induce vomiting. Kids can find hidey holes and understructure caverns for hide and seek from parents who have had their fill and just want to go home.
Want to catch a live soccer or baseball game? This site also connects to city league game fields. Want to throw a cheap Little Ceasers birthday party? Use the expansive covered seating area. Are you a degenerate chomo up to no good? Better not be because there is multi-directional security camera coverage...
Read moreI found this is a great place to take your young ones too there's a lot of activities to do there a lot of fun slides to slide down, also it's pretty spacious over there so that we can go play in the grass. One of things I like about the playground is that it's all fenced in it makes it difficult for your kids to wander away. There is security cameras over there for safety. The place is kept pretty clean and maintained and repaired when needed so it's not like the park is falling apart. Plenty of parking so there's no worry there. There's also a building right next to the playground so that way you can throw family parties events company parties and your kids can go run off and play in the playground. There is also little kids play area they also have older kids play area so that way your little kids are not getting trampled by...
