We parked at the trail head to go see the "bowling balls" read the sign about them went and hiked down the muddy steep hill and found nothing. Went back up and then went to the far trail facing the ocean to the right and walked aways unitl it started to go straight down to the beach. Looked for the "bowling balls" and saw nothing so decided to leave. Now that I'm back on google maps I can see if we hiked down the hillside and walked far right we would have gotten to see the so called "bowling balls" I guess next trip we will have to make the trek down the steep terrain to see them:) Don't make our mistake and think where the sign is that is where the bowling balls are:) Other than that the beach was...

Ensure you pick the right trail: the trail on the left (south end of the parking area) goes to Schooner Gulch, the trail on the right (north end of parking area) goes to a stairwell that leads to the beach where you can walk a short distance north to reach the bowling balls.
