Before making reservations here, I wasn’t sure if this campground was operating because of information I found online. While making the reservation, I talked to a woman on the phone (the owner) and she said it was $25 a night for a full hookup. They only accept cash or check and you pay when you get there. I wasn’t assigned a reservation number but the owner said assured me I had a spot booked and it’s just her and her husband that work there. When I got there, I was assigned site 29. Overall, I was looking for something close to downtown Point Pleasant and this was a good fit. There is no wifi and cell service was a little spotty (I had 1-3 bars at times for cell service). There’s a park with a trail that you can walk or bike around. There’s also a fort nearby that you can check out. Even though this campground didn’t have all the bells and whistles like some of the other once’s I’ve stayed at, you can’t beat the price.

Friendly and communicative hosts. Can’t beat the price of $25/night for a full hookup. What I didn’t realize when booking is that this park is situated in a city park with an old fort, large pond, small pollinator garden, and 1 mile paved walking path around the pond. This was a lovely surprise! Plenty of space for the kids to run around and burn off energy. Ground does get very muddy during/after rain. Probably wouldn’t stay here for too long as there wasn’t much to do but it was perfect for what we needed, a place to stop as we were passing through town.

We loved this Campground! My dog & I got up at dawn & walked the track around the lake almost every morning for at least 3 to 4 miles. The place is beautiful! It's a walk i would never get tired of. The shower's are nice & clean. The laundry room is good size & has two washer's & two dryer's, which are also very clean. All the staff were so nice and courteous. And except for the dirty geese on the lake & around the walking track, the place was emaculent. Hey and that's just nature. We would definitely visit Krodel Park again.

Excellent CG. Apparently owned by the city so its right next to a great play ground, splash park and lake for fishing. 1 mile paves walking trail all the way around the lake was nice. Looks like they used to rent kayaks and paddle boats at 1 time. Laundry on site says closed but it was the weekend. Great park for only $25/night with full hookups 50/30 amps water and sewer. Would recommend to everyone.

Stopped here for 2 nights on the way to Dayton Ohio for the Recumbent Cycle-Con Nice Campground . We're escorted to or pull thru site. Didn't even have to unhook our towed vehicle ! Disappointed that the paved Trail around the lakes didn't allow bikes, so we weren't able to ride our Recumbent Trikes on the trail. I understand as there are lots of reckless, irresponsible people riding bikes.

We have been full-time rv'ers for 9 years. This park was so much better than expected. For $35/nt, it's a great value and a nice park. Bathrooms are very clean. Beautiful views of a lake with a walking path around it. Nicest playground we've ever seen. Don't miss the 1774 fort and cabin adjacent to the park. We felt very safe during our 1 week stay.
