(Not my real name) It’s a nice place and all, and I often go fishing there in the warm months and catch carp, bass, chubs, and sometimes bluegills. However, they recently tore down my treehouse. Our trio who built it go to PSHS and we decided to build there and so we got 40 bucks of wood from Lowe’s and a tarp and I built a ladder and gave it a nice gray coat so it would last. All the Karen’s with nothing better to do made a huge deal about it, acting like somebody is gonna die or get hurt from it. Just don’t climb it, bruh. And how is somebody going to sue the woods if they get hurt climbing it? It’s their own fault! It is what it is, but they took my 15 dollar tarp and the ladder that I built along with the entire treehouse. I understand that they don’t want random treehouses all over the woods, but they could make an exception for one? Some people think that it’s a bunch of 20 year olds who were building a hunting stand?!? Laurie gotta get her eyes checked, smh. It didn’t even get found for a solid week, clearly that part of the woods isn’t very traveled. I rebuke the Poland Forest Council and all of the retired geezers and busybodies that have nothing better to do than complain and make a big deal about something so that they can feel important. When I get more wood, I will build a treehouse so high that it will be somewhat more than mildly inconvenient to take down. This is only...
Read moreBasically the only place to ride MBT or CX trail in Youngstown/Boardman. Biking distance for anyone living in Poland/Struthers. A good local skill spot for a week day or short weekend ride.
Well maintained by the township and volunteer trail builders (primary local Boy Scouts). Mostly wood planks and rooty dirt. Some technical logs, water crossings and teepees. Can get very muddy after a heavy rain due to the creek running thru the park.
Some chance of seeing runners/hikers/dog walkers on the planks so ride smart and keep a finger on the brake.
Not listed on most (if any) MBT...
Read moreWas absolutely a great place for any kind of walk. We haven't figured out all the trails as of yet so it's best to stick to the larger gravel trails as far as I can see now. Otherwise you'll have to have a good sense of direction and time. Trails are not marked. This is a place you have to adventure on your own and map in your mind. There is not an available map that I am aware of. All in all if you are an old woods nature enthusiast then there is more than enough to feast...
