There are NO outdoor Showers to rinse off which is really strange to not have clean running water to wash off at a disgusting lake. The rental kayacks have nasty moldy mud water in the seat that you have to sit in and boats are full of dirt. They don’t store them upside down so they fill with water and they leave it like that and just rent them out. They don’t clean anything there. Awesome new park area. If anyone is a fan of the Raccoon River Park for its beach area and/or the playground area for kids, then you will love this park. There is a great trail area I have yet to check out. The bike trail is the only thing separating the playground and sandy beach area. This area has everything you could want or need. This is the closet thing to a MN lake in the Des Moines area. Lots of access points, plenty of water for sailing, and a picnic/beach area second to none. The rental concession offers everything from pontoon boats to pedal bikes, canoes, kayaks, catamarans, and much more.
