This is one of my favorite places to go. I've been running the trails at the Preserve since 2011 and now that I have kids I love taking them here. It is an adventure for them and there are limitless things you can do. Between having access to the awesome dock, the beautiful beach, the watch tower and trails, you will easily find ways to enjoy your time outdoors. The one thing to watch out for is pollinating season. The bees are EVERYWHERE because there are yellow flowers they love. This is a great thing for the bees, but could be bad for the kids. If you see lots of yellow flowers, be aware that there might also be...

I love this place. I love taking my pups for a stroll thru the dunes. I also love the workout stations, and the fact that you can get from the inlet to the ocean. I miss the fact that their used to be a nice trail that wrapped around where the big tree is. It's a shame that path has over grown. It has an awesome kiddie area, bathrooms and water fountains for humans and pups. And it's always very clean. Thank you to those who keep it that way. If you do use the trails/boardwalks, please be mindful of your space and those whom are also using the trails and...

Wow the cutest, cleanest park. We enjoyed approx and hour and a half worth of stumbling around the trails. Mostly sand and dirt we enjoyed taking in the old trees and watching the lizards scatter. The place has a small but mighty park, two clean restrooms, plenty of parking and a few different resting points as well a picnic tables. Don’t forget to go across the street to the pier which juts into the river. The area is also ripe for launching a kayak or two. I was so glad we stopped by. It was worth it on a cloudy day.

I would suggest parking on the South peninsula lot for ease of access to the children's playground and picnic tables also bathrooms. This park has an extensive nature trail it is as hilly as anything in Florida can be so it's for people in good condition and it is excellent exercise. The nature trail does not have many places to sit and the overlook Tower has no seats at all just fyi for those of you who need to sit and catch your breath from time to time. the rest of the park has seating and picnic tables.

Super pretty trails with some changes in elevation. About 1 mile of trails. This is a great display of Florida flora, with historic oaks and palm trees, you can't help but feel the Florida. There's also a historical site there as Native Americans lived in the area for a long time. There is a shell mound there that they left behind. There's a sign that explains it. In the center of the park there's a tower that you can look out from. Beach is nearby. Loved it, and will definitely go back.
