The fisherman are friendly, helpful and everyone gets along! We have been coming here for decades! The view sure has changed but the people have not. #1 thing to know BRING BUG SPRAY! If not the store across the street is $15 a can! Avoid it at all costs! The mosquitos, don’t let them fool you. You will think they do not exist UNTIL the sun goes down! Bring your own lights! Unfortunately there have been only a handful of times we have been that the lights outside actually work! Pick up after yourselves so I don’t have to!

Very nice park with some of the best shore/pier fishing in Texas and it's free! Seasonally, you can catch nice flounder near the shore, specs all along the pier, or really big black and red drum from the end of the pier. We have landed some really big alligator gar here as well. The store on the other side of the bridge has great burgers. In the park, you will find covered areas and picnic tables as well as a brick restroom structure. You can launch a boat here as well.

Nice place and adequate boat ramp and good also free for fishing. Bait shop is close and accessible by boat as well. Entire area is alright if you are there to fish, however it would go a long way it more effort was out into keeping the area clean. Bathrooms broken and looked to be replaced by portables. Bait shop is nice but also could use a deep clean. Outside picnic areas and fishing dock are worth the trip still. 🎣

I love this place!! My husband caught a catfish!! We see a big big red being pulled out of the water so it made us really excited!! I even brought my grandkids with us and I let them play in the open field and we really just enjoyed the day!! I didn't have any problems at this beautiful Park. I didn't counter that the bathroom was locked I'm thinking that's due to covid. The porta potties were filthy nasty stanky. But it was worth it all because we had a wonderful time!! The people around us were very very nice!! We even had one guy leave the bait and give it to us so we can continue fishing!! This place is worth every dime that I spend on my...

There is always fish here. Monsters of all varieties. Its usually pretty clean unless after the 4th or major holiday. It's close to the causeway store which offers bait tackle and refreshments. It has a fishing pier that usually is busy during weekend nights but is worth the spot. It also offers more places along the perimeter of water to host a barbecue birthday party or a quiet spot on picnic tables that are covered for shade and you can still cast from there. Great place...
