Pleasure Island Pier — Local services in Port Arthur

This place was awsome and the people were so friendly and well mannered pier was clean everything was great..... EXCEPT for the fact I was trying to throw our left over bait away[all dead and mushy now] the MAINTENANCE people were there changing the trash and I asked if I could put in there bag before they tide it up(since they did just put a new bag in the way over filled trash cans) the one gental man who was working goes just throw it in the water(I thought DUH Deb to myself🤣🤣 ) But by the time I Even thought about DUMPING it in the water Of course out of the plastic bags it was in......HE [within seconds] Says this is how we do it here,,,, Snatching the bag from my hand AND Throws it right over the edge of the pier , plastic and all like nothing.....talk about just shocked...... it was around june...

Wow! The address for this pier online doesn’t match the physical address. We had to ask for help to find the place! Not many signs to guide you. The pier was basic compared to other fishing piers I’ve been to in Virginia, Florida and Galveston. However, part was shaded from the sun which was a plus! The breeze was pleasant. The pier was clean and well maintained. We caught nothing much but croaker and catfish. No keepers! I gave two stars because there were no public restrooms and for the time it took us to find it. This is totally just my opinion. What didn’t please me might please...

Hooked into something huge, couldn't get it in. Was clean and nice. Only complaint is that there was so much fishing line in the water that we kept getting snagged on it. Somone should figure out how to get all that line out...
