This spot is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. I've also seen some strange paranormal stuff here. One night, Something warped space and time a strang chemical fog covered the whole area, and I was on the bridge and all of a sudden my truck was out of control and I was drifting into the oncoming lane and I had no control of my truck, I slid into the other lane and for a second it was inevitable that we were going to go head on into an 18 wheeler. I braced for an impact that I was sure would take our life, All I could see was huge headlights coming at us. Then all I could see was a bright flash that was so bright it hurt my eyes i had trouble seeing for days and later found out that my retinas were burned. Back to the bridge, when I saw that bright flash then all I saw was black darkness so thick you couldn't see your nose, then another bright flash and I was behind the 18 wheeler that we thought we were going to hit. Logically that was the only outcome, but illogicaly we were behind that huge truck. I really don't know what happened but somehow the laws of physics left that very bridge and we were alive and somehow behind that fricken truck. I parked at the tidelands park and that fog was thicker than ever and it looked like all the water as gone from the hood canal, then a huge wave came rolling in and the fog disappears and everything seemed normal again. Believe me or don't that happened and I lived it a long with another Individual that I won't name in case he doesn't want to...

Such a beautiful hidden gem! It's a perfect place to stop and enjoy as you're passing through.. a very convienet place to let your littles get out and stretch their legs! Then why not have a quick snack and enjoy the views!! The reasons It didn't get 5 stars from me are because 1) NO BATHROOMS 😐 Theres not even really many hiding spots for us ladies to pop-a- squat.. of course It can be done. It's just not as easy as a man could get away with.. 2) This is both a negative and a positive -its at the end of the bridge on the olympic peninsula side. While it's super cool to get a different view of the bridge and fascinating to see it floating, it can be incredibly noisy, too! (keep that in mind if nap time) 3) It's pretty rocky...as in all rocks and very little sand.. 4) Lastly, this one isn't really a full negative, more of a personal preference.. Because of its location, unfortunately, you won't be able to catch the sunset at this particular beach location.. however, you can be absolutely certain you'll catch a stunning, magical sunRISE almost ANY morning you choose!! It's a powerful, motivating, and inspiring way to start your day! *Overall, this beach is a wonderful place to walk and explore! If you haven't stopped by yet, do it! (and please remember to pack out whatever you pack in! our future...

2022 Mar 02 weather forecast - intermittent rain over many parts of W WA .. and Falling Tide (Port Gamble - Low Tide 10:55 4.76 ft) gave me the opportunity for a fun ramble at Shine Tidelands & Wolfe Property State Parks 😀 .. where i did the (Alltrails named): "Hood's Head Trail".

Started Out: 09:00 and got Back at: 10:45 Only got a few drops of light rain upon during my ~1:45 hours of ramble. i only saw - in a distance from me - a young man and his dog. And saw a few Seagulls, and probably, Canadian Geese too.

The "Trails" were on the beach .. As such, its not surprising that there were rocks, stones, pebbles, sand, mud, driftwoods - occasionally slippery .. but passable with care. Btw, the Porta Potty at Shine Tidelands S.P. trailhead was opened and clean. Thank y'all - Maintenance Crew 👍

Happy...
