Cloudy, misty day as the tide receded. Good day for a beach walk I figured. Since shellfish season is closed here, I just enjoyed a walk out the spit- picked up one of those balloons with the aluminized coating that was snagged on a piece of driftwood. Enjoyed a nice crunchy walk on the barnacle crusted rocks and piles of empty oyster shells in the tidal Basin. Maybe next time I'll wear shoes, or not. Great...
