Why would it take a bride nearly 4 months to write a review of her OUTSTANDING, AMAZING, BREATHTAKING, FABULOUS, BEST EVER venue? I guess I just wanted to get this really right for the Brides coming after me.. so here it goes. One week after my proposal, I googled wedding venues on the Puget Sound... our first date was on the Sound, our proposal was on the Sound, and I reallllllly wanted our ceremony - you guessed it - "on the Sound". I am fairly certain that Kiana was either the first to pop up, or definitely the first one that I opened that piqued my interest! It was July of 2021 and I didn't even THINK before I acted, but I loaded up my tribe of girls and headed there the very next weekend to "take a look" (never calling in advance to ask permission or to schedule - do BETTER brides - lol). Luckily, we arrived on a Sunday morning and there wasn't an event in place (phew). This is what I remember most - parking right at the gate, walking a beautiful path through the tall, tall timbers (it's like a forest from a fairytale) and masses of flowers and shrubs in bloom and then BOOM - all of a sudden you are in this impeccably mowed grass field with wide open space that meets ... yup, THE SOUND. I literally didn't take another step because tears were flowing down my cheeks. It was EVERYTHING - no, it was MORE than everything. It was beyond my wildest dreams. Oh, and then we looked INSIDE the garden atrium and the lodge - and again - flooded with tears and emotions and every feel a girl (ok, grown woman) could feel about her wedding venue. It was THE ONE. The icing on this whole story was working with PAM. She seems to be very "matter of fact" upon first meeting - and you know why - because she could do a wedding (a really GREAT, amazing wedding) with her eyes closed. But through the following months and meetings and phone calls and emails (bless her), she becomes not only your fairy godmother - but your dear friend. Your wedding seems like the greatest show on earth and a one-of-a-kind event and she gets excited, offers opinions, is HONEST (w/ no holds barred), and she is flawless in her ability to pull it all together and to make you feel like the most important person on the planet (even though she is orchestrating 900 other events at the same time). So, the versatility of the space (because that PNW weather is always a factor), the beauty of the ENTIRE venue (and I mean - the ENTIRE venue), the staff (oh my gosh they are worker bees), the CHEF (you will actually MEET him in person at the tasting), the bartenders (fun, interacting - great mixologists), and PAM. Lucky you!! Lucky US! Oh, and for months (like at least 4), you'll hear from your guests - RAVE reviews - of the venue, the FOOD, and "that lady that was running around handling everything (pam)". Gosh, I know I am forgetting so much, but I cannot say enough great things about the whole process. The contract, the meetings, the layout, the food selection, the open house/tasting, the table settings (were flawless), the cleanliness, the thoughtfulness, the love that was poured into our day (and the last minute switch to an outside wedding when the rain stopped 5 mins before I was to walk down the aisle). When the music ended and the fireworks were over (omgosh - ask Pam about Benny the fireworks guy), we said our final goodbyes to our guests - enjoyed our overnight guests over at the Clearwater (via shuttle arranged by Pam) and came back the next morning at 11 to find everything boxed up and waiting for us to pick up (and grabbed a final hug from Pam). Seriously - I am beyond grateful and my heart is filled with absolute love and joy every time I think of our wedding day.
Thank you Kiana (and big hugs to Pam).

Read moreThis was truly the most perfect Pacific Northwest wedding venue and I couldn't have asked for a more dreamy day! We had our wedding here in July and we were BEYOND impressed with, not only the venue itself, but the staff/ service, the planning process, and everything in between.
Venue: This place is STUNNING and speaks for itself - little to no decorating needed. The grounds are so well maintained and manicured, with beautiful flower baskets and gardens all around. We had our wedding outside facing the water, which was such a beautiful backdrop. The garden atrium, where we had our reception, is so dreamy, with all the wood, the natural light coming in from all the windows, and the open feel. There is an awesome space for groomsman to get ready in the "moose room" of the lodge, and a cute little room for bridesmaids and the bride to get dressed and do "touch-ups." The outside lawn was perfect for lawn games (Cornhole, giant jenga, etc.) during our cocktail hour, and there was even the option for a bonfire by the beach later in the evening. It really is all-inclusive, with a venue coordinator to help with planning, food, drinks, etc, so it made the planning process so much easier. In addition, they do a super helpful tasting/ open house of sorts in January for all the couples that have booked dates in the upcoming year, which was so helpful! In addition to the food tasting, there are also all kinds of wedding vendors there and we were able to find our florist during this event!
Staff: Pam was our venue coordinator and she was so amazing to work with. From the very beginning she was so helpful and knowledgable. We did most of our communication with her via email and a couple phone calls as we live in Las Vegas, but she always helped keep our planning on schedule and made me feel at ease throughout the whole process. She even met with my mom and sister at the venue a few times. She's got wedding days down to a science at Kiana Lodge and knows exactly how to keep things on schedule and running smoothly. She was there for us, not only throughout the planning process, but also on the day of and we are just so grateful to her for everything she did for us. The other staff members that were there on the day of were also wonderful, helpful, and fun, yet professional.
Food: This place provides all the food, from appetizers during cocktail hour, to dinner, and all of it is delicious. All our guests loved the signature salmon and were very impressed with the food and beverage service (we chose to do plated dinner instead of a buffet and were very happy with that decision). I was so happy I didn't have to find an outside caterer for our wedding - it was helpful to just have all of it included.
A couple tips - if you are planning to book a summer date here, do it early! Weekends book really fast! Don't hesitate to book - just do it! You won't be disappointed. You'll also want to make sure that the Clearwater Casino & Hotel, just five minutes down the road, has rooms available if you have a lot of out of town guests attending - it's really one of the only hotel accommodations available nearby (and their lodge rooms are beautiful!), plus they provide a shuttle to and from the venue - so convenient!

Read moreWe just got married at Kiana Lodge this October and it could not have been more perfect. The views, the event space, the staff were all fantastic. We were lucky and it didn’t rain much for our wedding so our ceremony was held outdoors, which was incredible and everything we had hoped for. However the indoor space would have been beautiful as well. Our reception was held in the garden atrium and it could not have been any more perfect! We were in constant communication with Kiana Lodge (as was our wedding planner) and they were incredibly accommodating! Our wedding was nut free and we were able to have 3 specialty cocktails! They worked well with our florist to bring our vision together and overall were just very easy to work with! The scenery and the buildings are so beautiful it really doesn’t take much to transform this venue into a magical wedding. The bridal suite is small for getting ready so we coordinated with the Suquamish Clearwater Resort and we got ready in the Clearwater beach house which is conveniently located next door to Kiana Lodge, they were kind enough to open the gate so it was extremely easy to move between the two spaces. Overall, our wedding was absolutely perfect, if anything went wrong we had no idea and both our wedding planner and our day of coordinator at Kiana Lodge made everything run smoothly. If we had to pick anything that wasn’t perfect we would have to say the drinks, particularly our specialty cocktail (a moscow mule) was not spectacular, however this was not a priority for us and in no way impacted how we felt about our wedding. We still had the most amazing time and our pictures look spectacular. We want to say a huge thank you to Kiana Lodge for helping to create the most magical wedding, it was everything we’ve ever dreamed of and more, and we are so happy that we chose Kiana Lodge for our special day! If we had the chance to choose again we would absolutely choose Kiana Lodge one...
