Franks Sales Inc — Attraction in Portage Township

If I could give zero stars I would. I had a problem with my refrigerator that I purchased through them so I called to schedule a service call. I was told by Sylvia that the repair guy would be at my home at 4:00. I waited until 5:00 and nobody showed up. I called and was told by Sylvia that the repair truck broke down and that's why nobody showed up. She them scheduled a new appointment for 1:00 the next day. She never apologized and was not even nice about it. The repair guy shows up and basically tells me he has no idea what is wrong with my refrigerator or how to fix it. He then states he could order and replace a couple parts and see if that fixes the problem but if it doesn't I should just buy a new refrigerator. My refrigerator is only 5 years old. He never even looked at the refrigerator. How could he possibly know what was wrong with it when he didn't even look at it. He was literally at my house for 5 minute. He also informed me that sylvia lied to me about why he didn't show up the previous day and he did not have car problems she just forgot to write it down. Did a lot of shopping around for a new washer and dryer, ours had finally kicked it after 25 years. Ended up going to Franks for a Speed Queen. They sell quality appliances at better prices than others. We have been very pleased with the sales and information we recieved which really helped make our decision. Have been very happy with our choice. We had previously purchased a new refridgerator from Sears, and even though we can get our filters locally, we drive 20 minutes out of our way to buy the filter from Franks. We recently built a house in Marblehead and wanted to purchase our appliances locally. Our real estate agent recommended Frank Sales in Port Clinton. Not only were their prices competitive, they had all of our appliances ready when we called for them. This was during the supply chain crunch following the pandemic, when many products were unavailable. On the day of installation, the techs arrived on time and did a great job. A few weeks later, we needed some adjustments on two appliances. The same techs came out and were very responsive. I doubt we would have received this kind of attention from a big box store.
