Marina Shores At Dune Harbor — Attraction in Portage

Buying a slip at this Marina was one of the worst experiences of my life. This is a BEAUTIFUL place and I could see me and my adult children and grandchildren enjoying ourselves in this marina. My husband purchased his first boat for his 50th birthday and we chose The Portage Marina! So we paid our $2300 and dropped our boat in the water. We quickly realized that the atmosphere wasn't welcoming However By the second week in Portage one of our fellow boaters walked over to my husband and said "what are you drinking on?" My husband said 1738... the boater said" is that remi Martin? He went on to say "i use to drive a delivery truck to the hood and deliver that sh@&%.. why is it that YOU PEOPLE love it so much? He said I would pull up in the truck and YOU PEOPLE would run to the liquor store and buy the Sh@#$ up with your WELFARE CHECKS Can you tell me why that is? At this point we had only been at the Portage marina for 2 weeks and the weather was still a bit chilly but we knew we were in the WRONG PLACE.
