Very clean beach, attended by lifeguards. Water is nice, not weedy or yucky. I feel safe taking my family here.

This is a nice park, yes. But they have way ti many rules and take the fun out of kids being at the beach. They defeat the purpose of having a beach ball at the beach because they have that as one of their rules that u can not have that here. And the swim area is very small especialy when they are really busy. You are basically shoulder to shoulder sith everyone else at the park. They can extend the swim area to where its more comfortable. Also the sand is EXTREMELY HOT on your feet when you walk on it. You better keep your flip flops or sandals on till ur feet get close enough to the water. And they should just have a base rate to use the kayaks not keep charging hr per hr. Its not like your using gas or anything haha its ur muscle that makes u move urself. I dont know i just think thats a bit crazy. Just tell everyone they can have it for 2hrs for 10$ or watever...

Great for a quick escape to water when you don’t want to plan for an entire day at Lake Michigan. The swim area is a bit small, so I’m glad they don’t allow inflatables - they’d just end up getting loose and taking up the entire area. Shallow and warm, with just enough boat traffic to stir up some waves once in a while. Lifeguards on duty who do a great job at enforcing rules and running into the water when needed (we watched one of them swim out to rescue a stranded kayaker a few weeks ago). Close proximity to a great little playground and plenty of space for picnic/bbq...

So I went here with my family to have fun it was packed no social distancing your not even aloud to bring floaties in I'm like its a lake so knowing me and my family we tried to social distance from the 100 people or more that was there and then they told us we couldn't swim where we wanted to I'm a full grown adult who had to pay to come in and be told I can't swim where I want there was no signs nothing just a rude life guard who ruined the day...
