A good place to socialize the dogs off-leash. Beware of ghetto-type vibes and owners who don't control their aggressive dogs on occasion 😞. Most of the time is great and a safe place to be, but my dogs have been attacked 4 or 5 times over the last 20 years. The best advice is to keep aware of your surroundings and keep the leashes on you in case you need to leash up and leave through the 3 exits to the south side of the park. There can be dozens of dogs at a time, and sometimes they develop a "Pack" mentality. Some dogs compete for the Alpha Male Top Dog, and things can get very chaotic and dangerous. This isn't by no means the Norm for the park, but I have had my very well-trained natured animals attacked on more than one occasion over the last 20 years. I thought it was worth the warning of ghetto dog owners from St John's and surrounding areas to bring their animals to the park too, they may not control their aggressive dogs. Most of the...

As for the dog park itself. It's nice and big, with room for them to run. There at 3 picnic tables spaced out in there to sit at, but be careful, dogs pee on the seat areas. Wish there was a water spout to fill up bowls/buckets for the dogs to drink and also need more garbage cans to dispose of dog bags that other people leave laying around. Took my dog to this dog park for the first time, 95% of the dogs and owners were extremely kind. My dog played well with all the others except for one dog. That dog was super aggressive and tried to attack my dog when my dog was not even near them, not once but twice. The owner didn't apologize at all for what their dog did or remove their dog after the aggressive actions. My dog, who is just a puppy, was so scared we had to coax him to us and leash him to bring him home. Might try bringing him again another time, but for sure, I will watch for...

The best, fully fenced dog park in Portland and certainly my favorite for enjoying the outdoors and walking my dogs in a beautiful loop where they get to run free and interact/socialize with other dogs. There isn't fresh water available, but some people seem to have put out bowls and igloos to fill. I prefer to bring water with me. The trash bins are only outside the fenced area which is a hassle. There's a spot for diggers to dig. Worth the 15m drive for us to have a nature/ dog park human and dog exercise combo!

11/26/24 be warned there's a weed right now that is super hard to get out of my pomchi's hair!

2/1/25 winter and still a great spot to go. It's muddiest by the entry....

Unfortunately it's bring your own water so far for the spring of 2023 but still a Great place for dogs and people! Everyone is there for the same reason and both species seem to get along great. Very well fenced and clean. I'm lucky enough to live within walking distance but I found that people come from all over Portland and Vancouver because this place is so big and wide open that several dozen dogs can easily play and roam!
