Cookies Portland Dispensary — Attraction in Portland

Thought I would give this new dispensary a chance but in the end I found their prices to be higher then other ‘no name’ dispensaries and a product I felt was substandard for the price.

When comparing their product side by side to ones carried at other dispensaries there is a clear difference and it’s not cookies who comes out as a winner. In my case, both strains are considered ‘top tier’, both had THC content in the 27-29%, but again when compared side by side visually, and smoked, and run through a grinder to vape. As I self proclaimed ‘weed snob’ who is not afraid to pay up for good quality, I found the non-Cookies brand to be better all the way around (see side by side comparison below).

Yes, the layout inside is unique compared to most because you can see the product on the tables, smell it, and look at it under a magnifying glass. Just remember that’s the display and not what you will leave with, that stock is behind the counter. Yes, they play loud music, but I’m not here to rock out I just want a quiet relaxing atmosphere. And because they have samples of their strains out on the floor, don’t be surprised if you have an employee shadowing you while browsing.

At the end of the day, it feels like they are trying too hard and it shows. Let’s face it, the Portland market is saturated and I don’t see this location lasting the test of time
