Park rangers at this park are on a power trip. I simply asked what happens if i am few mins late to get to my car after hiking and the ranger goes, I will call the cops on you if I see your car here after 6:45. P.m.
I sensed a bit of prejudice coming from ranger Zack. Now you know where your tax dollars are going. Somebody needs to audit their department. I feel something fishy is going on. They are supposed to protect people, but instead I was treated like an enemy or like a criminal instead.
Won't be back to this park ever again and I been to many parks around the country. But never had such a treatment from any rangers for asking a simple question about parking. So disgusting and I am dissapointed at their department for allowing an intimidating...
Read moreThe park is one of most beautiful hidden gems in CA. They do a great job protecting the water, which is crystal clear most of the year. The park has allot of amenities, including great running and hiking trails.
However, I would not catch or eat a single fish from the lake. We went fishing once and caught a few fish. They were completely infested with parasites. One fish we caught had over 20 parasites clinging to it as well as worms in the meat. While the lake overall is very beautiful, the park needs to do something about the parasites in the water.

Read moreEasy little hiking trail for those so inclined. The lake is serene and the ambience is like a quiet lakeside retreat. You can picnic and canoe or go fishing with your buddies. The lodge is equipped with patio seating and picnic tables with snacks and beverages to purchase for both before and after the journey around the lake.
